  2. My doctor just set my stuff to insurace. The surgeon, dietician, and psychologist all think I am a great cadidate. I'm just praying insurance does too. The ladies in the office seem to think I will have a surgury date in the end of September. Kind of nervous that it'll be my birthday.

  5. Do you have a hairdresser you go to exclusively? If not Walmart salons have the Nioxin products. Your hairdresser might be able to give you a better price.
  6. I'm a hair dresser and for thinning hair I ALWAYS tell my clients to take Biotin and use Nioxin products. They aren't cheap but they work. Down sides to it are it takes about a full bottle of shampoo and conditioner to notice and you can't stop using it otherwise you'll go back to the way your hair was.
  7. I just had my consult. The doc an the patient liaison seem to think my psych eval and insurance will go smoothly. So they are predicting a September surgery date for me!
  8. I had my consult appointment on Wednesday. I have my psych evaluation and nutrition appointments this next week. What should I expect out of them? They told me the psych evaluation was going to take 2 hours!!!! If I'm not crazy when I go in I'm sure I will be by the end of it!
  9. I will be self pay if I have to be. But I found out this morning that insurance will cover $50,000 lifetime. I'm so excited about that! As for documented weight discussions, I'm not sure. I have had plenty of doctors tell me to get some weight off. As far as them documenting it, who knows. From consult to surgery, how many appointments did you all have to go to?
  10. How far did you go into the past of your medical records?
  11. I just scheduled my consultation! I'm so excited and nervous. They want medical records but I've only been to the doctor 2 times in the last 5 years. I'm afraid that won't be enough.
  12. I'm fairly new here and new to the WLS world. I am going to a info session on Wednesday. It will be my second one. I have decided on the Lapband. I am so worried that it will be the same as all of my other attempts at losing weight. I've tried multiple times to stick to a 1200 calorie diet but I get sooooooo hungry and eat more. I would love to know if you all feel deprived and starving all of the time.
  13. I haven't been banded yet. I am still doing research but I am 95% I want and need to do it.
  14. I can only hope I do that well!
  15. Has anyone been banded in Columbus?
