  1. So as I have started telling some of my family members about my decision to have the surgery, I have had both positive and negative reactions. But one reaction that struck me the most, was from my cousin, he said that I will look worst with all the hanging skin, and that the only way to fix it is surgery, does everyone have the hanging skin problem? or Does it very? I plan on hiring a trainer to help me with the gym, and I plan on doing both Cardio and Weights. I am lost, and heart broken, maybe I should stop telling my family...

  4. My breaking point was when I was looking for fun things to do with my son during this upcoming summer, and as a child I loved riding horses so I wanted my son and I to take riding lessons, but when I called around they all had Weight limits. A place actually told me to consider the horse. I wanted to cry, but instead I am using that as my fuel to get healthy (not skinny but healthy) . I also would love to learn how to surf.
  5. So I had my meeting with the surgeon on Friday. It went great, I was so nervous, but he was great. I have only a few things to do before we can schedule surgery, (2) appointments with a nutrisionist, (1) with a psychologist (which I am nervous about), Some X-Ray, PCP letter, and Blood work, everything wil be done by June 4th... Does anyone know after you complete the steps how long after is surgery schedule? I really hope to get it done during the summer so I don't have to worry about how my son is going to get to school...
  6. So today is my first consultation with the surgeon, I am nervous but yet so excited. I just would like your help, what should I ask? I don't want to miss a question I should have asked and What should I expect today?. Please help. Thank you.
  7. Thank you all for your help, I called my insurance company and was told I do not need a referral and I was able to find out how much out of pocket I am looking at total.
  8. Thank you for replying but I did my seminar online. So no live person for me to ask and I called the doctors office and they couldn't tell me. I will try calling my insurance maybe they will tell me.
  9. Hello everyone, I just passed the seminar exam, and now I can make my appoinment with the surgeon, but no one can tell me if I need a referral or not. How can I find out if I need a referral from my primary doctor? Thank you.
