  1. I have been walking 2-3 miles a day...Maybe I am gaining muscle..I will try getting in more protein a day. Do you worry about the carbs?
  2. I was banded on 2/28 and I lost 20 lbs in the first 2 weeks. For the past week I have not lost another lb. Did anyone else have this problem? I know that the first 6 weeks are for healing, but I would have thought that I wouldn't have plateaued this soon. I haven't had a fill yet, that is coming up this Wednesday. I am just getting a little worried that I am going to be one of the ones the band doesn't work for. I log everything on MFP and am eating around 600-1000 calories a day, mostly around 700. I am making good food choices also. Anyone got any advice on how you got over the hump? Is it just that I need a fill? I am getting discouraged. Maybe I need to eat more protein. How much protein is everyone getting daily? Any advice would be great.
  3. Down to 208..down 10lbs. Got 3 more to go, but I have been stuck at 208 for a week..ugh.
  4. I can feel mine and I too find myself feeling of it often. I guess it is because you have a foreign object in there and it is a little wierd feeling. Just glad to have the band and port.
  5. 6 more days...I can do this! I have no choice , but to do this. It is hard, but so worth it. I fit into a old pair of jeans I couldn't wear this morning, so that gave me some more motivation. I love how my clothes feel big. Hoping everyone is hanging in there on the infamous stage 1.
  6. I wish I knew what would help. I think we need a veterans opinion....missy or floridays??? Are you measuring what goes in? I wish I could help more.
  7. I think my scale is lying again...15 lbs in 6 days...that shouldn't be possible. So excited!
  8. Lol...on a positive note..15 lbs gone...I admit I put a pickle in my mouth for a second just for the salty taste..lol. I guess we will all get there..slowly.
  9. Thanks for the tips. I never thought of blending cottage cheese. I will try that. I can honestly say I am not hungry..just missing whole foods.
  10. I am 1 week post op tomorrow and I am struggling with head hunger..so bored with jello and soup. Anyone else having this problem and what helps? I got one more week of this and don't know how I am gonna make it. Any tips?
  11. My gas kept making me burp..putting arms over head and walking helped move it.

  16. Awesome story. My daughter tells everyone about my surgery..she is 5. She says my mom is going to have surgery so she can play outside with me more. Kinda makes me feel bad..but at least I am on the right track now. I am gonna make her proud.

  20. I have lost 10 lbs since 2/28. I can have pudding, jello, grits, cream of wheat, broth, mashed potatoes, sf popsicles, blenderized soups, and 3 protein shakes a day. Ready for the 14th..get to add fish, seafood, soft veggies, crackers, and eggs. Definitely having to learn to eat slowly and drink outside of meals, It is worth it though...10 year anniversary on september 19th..gonna be in that bikini..lol
  21. I do feel more weak in the morning and just plain tired in evening.
  22. I have had some trouble getting all my fluids in. I know I am not getting 64oz..I get around 40-50 in. Maybe I just need to take it a little more slow and try to rest more. I have been kinda stir crazy for the past 2 days. I thought it might be the lack of sugar, since I was use to eating more carbs. Thanks for input.
  23. I had surgery on 2/28 and sticking to my stage 1 diet foods. I also drink 3 protein shakes a day. Is it normal to feel weak or light headed during this stage?
  24. Good job. I was banded on 28th too. Has went pretty good so far. Having some trouble getting all my fluids in.
