  1. That's what I had and I didn't even remember it. I was just able to come out of it more quickly than with general.
  2. You have to find the right ppi. My doc said a lot of her wls patients so best with protonix.
  3. So sorry you're going through that. Maybe get a second opinion on the waiting period.
  4. Surgery Thursday. Half day at Monday. Full day Tuesday. No lifting and just a desk job though.
  5. I was but don't remember it. It did make me feel like I have a sinus infection and a very sore throat several days though.
  6. There is at least one person on these boards who had a revision solely for the purpose of maintenance. She had lost all of her weight with the band but then her band went bad. I can't remember who it is but hopefully she'll see this and chime in. I am a revision too but unfortunately was not nearly as close to my goal weight as you are because I was existing on slider food couldn't keep any real food down. My band was also irritating my esophagus and my stomach. The problems were starting to get serious. insurance covered my revision with no problem.
  7. Don't freak out it happens to all of us. You would hit the dreaded week 3 stall. It will pass your body is just re balancing some things right now. Just keep doing what you're supposed to do and it will come off. Sick to the plan.
  8. My surgeon said he didn't use a bougie and I haven't been able to get anything out of him about the size of my stomach. But my sleeve is working. We just have to have faith.
  9. My surgeon did he didn't use a bougie and I haven't been able to get anything out of him about the size of my stomach. But my sleeve is working. Wet just have to have faith.
  10. I'm unable to post a link to it but do a search here on vst for "picture of bougie size comparison". Not sure where it came from but if this picture is correct The differences in size really seem to be miniscule.
  11. I freaked out too. That's normal. But this is an entirely different wonderful world!
  12. For a lot of people days two and three are the worst. You will be on the other side of this before you know it.
  13. Okay, not to be a Debbie downer but Please call your doctor. It can't hurt to check in with a professional. I did have some soreness but searing pain is worth talking to the doc about. If there is a complication it is better if you catch it sooner rather than later.
  14. This feeling is so much different for me. It really is more of a feeling of being satisfied than being over stuffed. It is really hard to explain the difference but it is so much better. I no longer have the constant drive to eat or hungry that I had with the band. I feel like the sleeve helps me control myself. I never felt in control of my appetite with my band.
  15. I don't even remember being in the operating room. One minute I was talking to my husband and the next I was done.
  16. You are not alone. I canceled my first surgery date out of fear. I am sleeved now and doing great. I wish I had done it earlier. We're here for you.
  17. I had to have one for surgery. It is as everyone else describes. I did a lot of huffing and puffing :-) .
  18. Hi I'm 6 weeks post op and had no complications as well. There is much less restriction when you're just on the liquids don't worry once you start eating dense protein you will really feel it. I have no problems getting anything down and I'm losing great I think I'm down for 34 pounds at this point and I feel great.
