I miss food!
The best thing I ever did for myself wad move away from my family. Airplane distance. They are wonderful in small doses but I knew I needed to move to realize my potential and that I never wanted to raise kids in that craziness.

May sleevers! How much have you lost so far?
- ARRRRRGGGGGG!
What kind of exercise are you doing? I definitely find that walking, ballet, and Pilates help to change the shape of my body and make the bulky areas (thighs and butt for me) leaner.- Unsupportive Family Members
Lunaya, I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your experience.- Newbie
Similar story. Revised on may 16 to sleeve. Not more painful. First two days gas pains are bad. Use the meds. I was back at my desk job four days post op. That was my last day of real soreness. No real pain after day two.- Where the May sleevers i just got my date!
It does get better. First couple of days are the worst. Use those pain meds!- Still unable to eat almost 3 months out
Please talk to your doctor and have them run tests for your vitamin levels. Vitamin B deficiencies can lead to permanent nerve damage and that could be what is going on with your legs. I have mostly lost the desire to eat too but we have to take care of ourselves.- Band to sleeve..... So anxious!
Revision here and loving it! A few tips: use a surgeon who has experience with revisions - we're a lil different. Ask the surgeon to keep you in the hospital an extra day or two - because I knew I wad higher risk I would have driven myself crazy at home w every little pain. Plus I think the extra babying in the hospital helped me recover faster. Went back to my desk job post op day four. People dread leaving with a drain but I had one and it gave me great comfort. Everytime I looked at that drain I knew I didn't have a leak or infection. This is do much different and better than life w band once it has gone bad. I'm Losing rapidly but even if I didn't, no more throwing up and finally feeling satiated is so worth it. Come on over to the sleeved side!- The day has come and panic attacks....
The anticipation is so much worse than the actual pain. You will likely have one or two rough days due to the gas but the pain meds will.get you through it so you don't even have to be all that aware of it. After that you start feeling better fast and it is so worth it! Best of luck to you!- BAND2SLEEVE
Good luck to you. I am ten days out from my revision and feeling great!- Help with decision!:)
I had a band for five years. It damaged my stomach and esophagus in a way that was becoming very serious. I lost fifty pounds in five years, threw up multiple times daily, and was always hungry. Sleeved now ten days. Down nineteen pounds. No throwing up and almost never hungry. It is amazing. My band damage made me higher risk for sleeve leak and I had a scare requiring a second surgery the day following my sleeve.- Where the May sleevers i just got my date!
Don't be scared. Day one was easy. Day two the worst due to gas. Day three much better. Day four back at my desk job w a lil soreness but no pain. Ten days post and nineteen lbs down!- Post op itching
I guess all docs ate different because mine told me to use neosporin. I agree though. I am highly allergic and all over itching may just be the first sign but things can get worse especially if u continue to ingest whatever it is.- Post op itching
I rubbed neosporin w pain relief and cortaid over my entire stomach a couple times a day especially in the evening Nd it helped a lot.- May sleevers! How much have you lost so far?
Sleeved may 16. Down 19 lbs in ten days. No pre op diet.- Post op itching
Whole body itching sounds like it could be from a medication.- I miss my vodka!
I'm not judging but as a former somewhat heavy drinker I will just say that it can effect your b1 levels which can stall your weight loss. Also remember one of our greatest risks is not just leaks but doing some other damage to the lil bit of stomach we have left. If we develop ulcers or stomach cancer we have nothing left to work with. You are young and still need your tummy for a long time. Do what u need to to protect it. - ARRRRRGGGGGG!
