  1. Get well soon!
  2. It's pure torture for all of us addicts!
  3. At the center I use, BMI dictates if you will be eligible for surgery and being self-pay I didn't have to jump through all the hoops to get approved. Insurance paid for my pre-op testing and consultations and I did not require an overnight stay. I think that would be up to the surgeon and how you do post-op. I'm not sure if your new insurance company will cover the cost of aftercare/fills. A lot of that depends on how your visits are coded by the doctor. The cost of my surgery included 2 years of aftercare. Best wishes to you!
  4. Hi Peaches, I was banded one day after you and I've had 8 fills. I'm finally in the green zone, but everyone is different as you know. Great job on your loss so far!
  5. It may be worth traveling to Cincinnati for the sleeve.
  6. Absolutely the best $12k ever spent! I did find out shortly after my surgery that the clinic I use reduced the cost of the sleeve to $7,500, which was a bummer but I'm still happy with my band.
  7. 9!

    #4. I can totally relate.
  8. Growing up in Texas, Sonic was always my all time favorite place to eat and hang out with friends. Foot long chili cheese dog with fries every Friday night! Good times.
  9. Definitely the boobs, which are begging for a little lift.
  10. I say live a little...drink the wine, but be accountable. Enjoy!
  11. Just remember...slow progress is better than no progress! Sounds like you're off to a good start. You're not even at one month post-op and still healing so I say keep on keeping on.
  12. I've noticed in my chest area first then my face.
  13. You WILL do this! Welcome.
  14. I have a 14cc band. Sounds like you may be in "bandster hell" right now. Are you planning on getting a fill?
  15. Panera is my favorite. They have a high protein, low calorie "hidden" menu (its on their web site) and have also done well at Applebees, Chili's and Longhorn. They all have low calorie options. For a drive-thru type place, I usually choose Wendy's for a salad or chili. The one thing I can no longer have, which I absolutely love, is sushi.
  16. It does get better, I promise. I passed up pasta and cannolis at an Italian Restaurant tonight and it didn't even bother me. Six months ago I would have eaten all that and a basket of bread. It takes time my friend. You're doing great!
  17. Hi Lee, you could always send a Private Message and go from there.
  18. WOW! 295 miles...that's almost a trip to Cincinnati!
