  1. Don't beg for an endo. Lie for one. Put on your best Susan Lucci and tell them you vomited blood a couple times in the past week. They'll probably schedule you for an immediate Upper GI. Just go with it, but when the results come back fine tell they you vomited blood again yesterday. Mix some green eye shadow with your foundation if you gotta. Kathy, I had certain bronchial problems also. food sitting in my esophagus added to a few years of bulimia left me with Barrett's Esophagitis, so maybe there's a possibility that your band & breathing are related? Just a thought. Hi by the way, nice to see you
  2. Come to Vegas and I'll teach you!
  3. Collar bones? I'm confused. Then again, I'm wearing a Mardi Gras mask conversing with someone wearing a snorkle.
  4. I have to hijack my own thread for a second. Chris was looking over my shoulder and saw a screen name and said, "WHO? ROAD QUEEN?" I've told him about all the banded biker babes before, but it just now registered in his coconut so he wants to know when you'll be here. Celest? Asphalt? Nana? Open invite! And thanks for the compliment! I'm going to keep my camera on fuzzy mode from now on!
  5. Here's from behind.
  6. I'm damn proud of this trailer and have to eat my words. I was PISSED when he bought the piece of crap (that it used to be) home. It was just a white frame with no wheels, an ugly rusted eyesore in our yard. Look what he's done! He even bought the orange straps to match Shorty. Now we can store my Sportster in our garage on her pretty new trailer. He did all the welding with some help from other welder friends.
  7. I need a new camera but I have a good chance of winning one at the Slumber Convention in March I already took the dress off before checking the pics so they're fuzzy. Sorry, but I like it that way cause it distorts my distorted flabby arms! Can someone flip & shrink this? Paula, nope, we aren't wearing masks to the formal but I haven't put on a face or hair yet. Hey, there's an idea for getting to work on time, just wear a feathered mask.
  8. Infection isn't good, so let's hope it's tender from your furbaby incident. But make sure to see your doc. Kuri had to remove my first port due to infection, so keep an eye on the area for redness, heat or swelling.
  9. Stick with your instincts. You don't have to tell anyone you're banded, and you don't have to feel guilty.
  10. Hairagain and everyone else, I still struggle every single night. Days are easy, but demons possess me at night. One tool I use is the phone. I collect banded phone numbers and yap their ears off. Find food buddies, and call them.
  11. Somebody give Leatha a sandwhich before she blows over in the wind! Wow, what a great LBT shot! Sucks that I'm not near Texas cause I have a truckload of clothes, but we'll be doing a Vegas swap in the summer. I'm glad it all worked out - good job putting it together, but where are the pictures of women in underwear trying stuff on?
  12. My puter doesn't let me go to that site. They must have naughty nighties, so I'll look from work tomorrow - just don't tell my work!
  13. Sorry but I had to take a break in the crazy day to go see Brokeback Mountain. First time in 10 years I had popcorn with no butter (ate 1/2 a medium bag though.) Hubby's whining that I haven't spent time with him, but I really want to get my flabby arms to the gym so I gotta drug him n' sneak out. Can't someone just crop my face into the dress?
  14. Frettin' n' stewin' is what Chris calls it. I do it all the time, but it's useless. I have to get a lung cat scan this week so I have similar ants in the pants, but that's why I rode the bull. Gotta keep living. Go shopping, enjoy life, put on your belly dancing outfit and live, live, live!
  15. Geeze, you all know how shy I am! I need a shower first, fair? I've been cleaning, and then walked the dogs and hiked. I need to get to the gym, too.
  16. Dee, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your face! Finally, someone smiling at us when she posts! If that size 18 is still at David's Bridal next week, I'm buying it just for sport. Heck, if I can get in an 18, I'll dress formal to work!

By the way, don't even THINK about going backwards woman! You are my biggest inspiration and I just gagged down a chicken leg and ounce of cheese at 8:00 a.m. because of you. I'm not a morning eater, but it's the only way to make the weight come off. Slowly, but it's working.

My doc recommended Hydroxy Cut to ward off hunger. Yesterday morning I took 3 according to directions and was "heart attack nervous" all day and night. Sheesh, I'm supposed to take that 3 times a day? No way. Let me know how this new one works, k? Last thing DeLarla needs is speed, right?
  19. I tried again but it says "invalid destination address." I've tried 5 times with different addresses. Technology, eesh.
  20. I tried sending the pic to my e-mail but it failed! Vines, I won't have to wear evil heels with this dress since it's so long! Now I gotta zip my piehole shut till then so I don't look like a sausage. Now, where does an Amazon get a onezie strapless girdle?
  21. A girl took a pic of me in the size 18 on my cell phone, but I can't figure out how to transfer it to my puter. But I do have proof on my phone! I'm amazed.
  22. Thank you, everyone! I can't believe my luck yesterday! I mapped out all the stores but was so busy that I didn't get to my first stop till 4:30 p.m. Lemme tell ya, David's Bridal in Vegas at closing the month before Valentine's Day was a hoot! I started in Alterations having the green velvet dress analyzed. They could have fixed it for $75.00. Then I tried on a few dresses of the rack. I'm writing from Heaven after ZIPPING UP A SIZE 18! I couldn't breathe in it, but who cares! I actually had a CHOICE of dresses, which is unheard of. I selected this pretty 2 piece that was on sale for $99.00 from $150.00. They didn't have pens at the register, so I went to my truck and brought 2 huge fistfuls of my leopard & hippy Slumber pens, which they went nuts over and reduce the dress to only $53.00... fifty three! It's an elegant plum 2 piece (floor length.) It's size 20 so the skirt is a little big. My arms will be completely exposed, which I've never done for a formal event. I could never have done it without you all. I thought I'd be shopping for a week, so Penni, thanks for being first to recommend David's Bridal. The girls were awesome, and I was done dress shopping in 30 minutes.
  23. So I'm the only one that lifts the lid to check for a head? Odd. But to be afraid of cows, odder. I adore cows. I can do without decapitated heads though. Better to voice your fear so it never really happens. Being afraid of animals biting your feet is a valid fear in my book considering my cat used to attack our feet in dead sleep. Freaky, indeed.
  24. Tracey, you can post here any time. Just when I thought my removal was bad, then yours sounded so much worse. Who did the removal? Was it the same person who did your band? How long were you banded? I never had problems with the burning of acid reflux, but I had some problems swallowing. I had a bad PB before I was banded. One time I was really full, eating dry pretzels while driving (that's what 300 pounders do.) Suddenly my chest was heaving and everything got stuck. Overeating can cause so many problems. I have to wonder if my bulimic phase of vomiting weakened my esophagus. I guess I'm lucky that I've been spared the heartburn. I can eat hotter food than my Mexican friends with no burn, but I have swallowing problems and can't breathe if I lay down after eating. I can feel food sitting in my esophagus.
  25. Wondering if someone is hiding in the closet or under the bed. Ax murderers. Where are the rest of the weirdos today? I know I'm not alone.
