  1. My doc (Dr. Billy) agrees that carbonation won't hurt the band. However, he doesn't allow me diet sodas because the chemicles cause the same spike & crash cravings as carb cravings. But there's no sugar in Perrier or club soda, so a Gin & Soda with lime sounds good to me! As long as I give up a couple ounces of my daily protein, I like my kooktails!
  2. Forget Biggest Loser. We need to go on The Lobotomy. I never saw John when he was here ~ all I saw when he was in the room was a giant bag of wasabi peanuts talking to me. But did he bring any? Nope. So I got into 1/2 can of honey roasted nuts instead. Thanks, Penni. DOH!
  3. Nykee, those Spinach balls are making me cry. I'm so hungry. On a topic way off LBT low cal food, can anyone PM me the name of an old granny cookbook, the kind with really fattening fudge and goodies? I have the Betty Crocker and Pillsbury books, but hubby doesn't like the recipes. He wants old fashioned goodies with extra goop and too much butter.
  4. Yeah old lady, where are the pics? How can you stand being home right now? Give us baby pics!
  5. Wet smooch to you! I wish they would change the x-rated dancing (touching themselves) bananas to dancing Beans. I'll do the bean dance now. Have a very DeLarla day by spending a fortune on yourself!
  6. Yep, we got a tasty Jesus freak alright. But we also got some great hooters! Great pictures, and keep showing off those sexy bras!
  7. We have David's here! Thanks! But check out this awesome site, OH NO, I'm gonna go broke here! http://store.yahoo.com/alight-com/index.html
  8. I did a search for formal plus tall gowns and came up with this blue drapery. NOT very DeLarla!
  9. It's not just the size, it's the length. I'm 5'10" high. Where do drag queens get their fabulous gowns?
  10. It all depends on your family. Did all of your sisters miss the Days Of Our Lives auditions? Are they control freaks, gossip queens, drama mammas?
  11. Yep, that's Lopez, though it's hard to say whether that's an old site or a new one because it shows a picture of Carmen on his staff. She's the @##$%@ doctor that told me my infected oozing port was normal. She's the one that said tubing sticking out of my infected wound was normal! She's the one that Lopez promised me was no longer associated with him. Yet the site introduces the new Hospital Angeles, which is probably his new facility. Does this mean Carmen is back?!? If so, I feel very, very sorry for every single one of his patients. She has no right practicing any kind of medicine!
  12. Kim, to me progress is realizing you have character defects and are aware that there's always room for improvement. The fact something bothers you so much that you are working on a resolution is a very worthy NSV, indeed.
  13. I am so afraid of E-bay. Where do I begin?
  14. Thanks, Staci! I was just reading another thread called, "Sadly, another Lopez erosion." Someone replied that he has a website, so maybe you can find the thread and PM the girl to ask if she's got his site or number.
  15. Does Lopez have a website that actually claims he hasn't had problems with the Band yet? This makes about 8 Lopez erosions in the past year alone, which means there are most likely many, many more that haven't been detected yet.
  16. T, please get scoped. Please?
  17. Where can I get one in size Lumberjack? I need it by March. Ug.
  18. See, now THAT'S what I'm talking about! Vines, ya think that costume could also be used as formal wear for a ball? I need a dress. AWESOME!
  19. There's another couple here that dropped so much weight that they now look like their children instead of themselves. You'll do great as a team. I don't think getting banded the same time is a good idea, so I'm glad you're going separate. The first week after banding is a time to be pampered, so now you'll be able to pamper and take care of eachother during your post-op healing phases. Congrads to you both for making a lifechanging decision that will bring back your vitality and youth.
  20. "Basically how to change my thought processes or how to make myself see this in a new way. Why does my mind automatically go there to begin with? This is my problem." We have no control over random thoughts that enter our brains, but we do have control over our mouth and written word. My mind automatically judges, too, but my heart forces a smile and keeps my mouth shut.
  21. Erin, I recently had my band removed. I also went through a year of infection, wound packing, 2 port removals, etc. I'm fighting the battle on my own now, and I'm damn proud of myself. So far I've lost 11 pounds since band removal, but I keep gaining and losing the last few over and over. It's not easy to pass up goodies, breads, sodas but it CAN be done. Get on an eating plan. It doesn't have to be perfect, but find something that works and dig the determination out of all this frustration and join us non-bandsters in the fight.
  22. I had a hard time locating him on the internet, too. Inamed should be able to find him, or you can call Dr. Fisher in Las Vegas (who has personally told me that Lopez is his best friend.) Good luck.
  23. Yes, that's my Swavarski (sp?) Crystal Slumber shirt! Look at 'er go! My next NSV picture will be a picture auditioning with Paula, Randy and Simon for next year's American Idol. Yep, I'm too old. Nope, can't carry a tune either. But that's my next goal.
  24. Damn, I wish I had saved some granny panties! People, I already bragged about this pic on another thread (was fishing for compliments.) But this one is about pictures, now POST! I want pics. Bring us the sex pictures, bring us the granny panties, bring us the old, worn out and tired next to the new you!
  25. Wow, Susan, that was deep. Deep and meaningful enough to bring tears to my eyes. I lost a decade of my 20-30's due to severe anxiety attacks. I know firsthand what it's like to try to face the world when your physical body won't allow you to without hyperventilating or having knees turn to jelly. I also know what it's like to live like a slob. I still haven't had the courage to post what I looked like as a neglected child, standing in the dirt barefooted playing outside in pajamas since I didn't have clothes to fit. That wasn't my choice, it was all a kid knew. As a kid, we had major plumbing problems and weren't often able to bathe. Did Mommy Dearest care? Nope, because she had her own locked-up bedroom and shower and closets full of designer clothes. We wore rags with greasy hair. I think that's why I'm such an ADMITTED princess material girl. Clothes, toys, earrings, jewelry? Bring it on! Debt? Who cares, I need my pretties. And yes, I do need 900 pairs of socks and new underwear every month because those are things I didn't have in my youth. I see fat sloppy people, then I see fat pretty made up people. Take Star Jones at her fattest. Sure, she had on expensive clothes, but on the inside she was just as unhappy as the 400 pound man laying on his couch in dirty sweats, unshowered.
