  1. Damn, I thought I had yoons fooled! Thank you, Birthday Girl!

I read an article last year of a woman that died. The article was vague, but to me it appeared she should have gone to the doctor sooner. She didn't want anyone to know she had the Band, so she kept it a secret. By the time she got medical help it was too late. She would probably be alive and well today if she saw her doctor. I don't know what the cause of death was, but I assume it was erosion or infection.
  3. I think you should get madder and madder till you spit silver dollars! That will take care of any co-payments. Sorry that insurance companies are famous for giving the run-around. Sucks.

Before I lost some weight, I always thought the "leggins and huge shirt" were the way to go. But then I saw pictures, yikes. Fitted clothes, believe it or not, are much more slimming. Just go for some jeans and a shirt, and tuck it in! So, when are you due? Okay, laugh with me cause the only one that could crack a joke like that is someone that weight over 300 pounds last year! Once a co-worker in a huge call center stood up and asked me across the whole department, "Lisa, are you carrying?" I yelled, "No, I'm FAT!" Let me tell you, it wasn't me that was embarrassed, it was her. Everyone hated HER for that and were super nice to me about it.
  5. THANK YOU! It's easy to get smaller, just take a big picture and shrink it! Sad part is I've actually gained a few plus a few more. I'm a little disapointed that nobody mentioned my nakedness. The funny thing is that I'm really not even naked! Ask Penni, I'm wearing a fawn colored dress that you can see if you look really, really close. I just look nakey!
  6. The whole hair thing is something anybody can do. Just decide that YOU are fabulous and YOU deserve a fabulous new doo! It's a little scary, a tad pricey, but we aren't getting any younger. And don't we deserve it?
  7. Thanks girlies. Any time Penni and I get together we laugh like crazy even if it's only at each other!
  8. Thanks for all the PMs asking when I'm getting a new port. I've been feeling blue and hopeless waiting for a port to magically appear. Today the Powers that Be spoke to me and told me to get off my ass and see my surgeon. The reason I haven't followed up with him is because I didn't see a reason to, considering I can't afford a port surgery now anyway. Why see him if there's nothing he can do for me? Sometimes we just have to take steps towards our goal even if we can't see light at the end of the tunnel. Earlier I posted that Dr. Billy hasn't returned my calls - that's cause I'm being punished! He had his staff call me to get my butt to him cause he wants to see me every 4-6 months (he wants me bad, I know he does.) Kidding - laugh there. So in order to discuss my issues, I have to see him in person. It's a huge ordeal for me to see him considering his schedule and mine totally conflict. I have to take off work to see him, but he doesn't even work Fridays so I'd have to take off 2 days to see him. (He does work Fridays but at his clinic in Northern California which is way too far.) He's actually meeting me at his office on 4th of July, this way I don't have to lose time from work. So I'm off to Penni's then for a check-up, and most likely, a few good laughs. It just makes me sigh deeply, because after making the huge trip, I still come home portless and will have to back again for the surgery, that is, if a port falls from the sky. The part alone could bankrupt a gal! I heard the port part is like $800.00, and that doesn't even include labor! We all know the labor gets us, right? Cha-chinggggy. That's Step-One... baby steps.
  9. I've seen the list before but it's missing something: Grabbing Your Weiner and Twirling it like a Propeller Will NOT turn her on.
  10. I have anxiety disorder to the point I spend my teens and 20s in emergency rooms. At once point it was so severe that my doctor put me on full disablity. It was awful because of all the people in the world that WANTED to go to work, I wasn't able to make it out the front door without a full blown attack. During those days I was treated like a guinea pig and given every med known to man, including the Zoloft and all the one's Michelle mentioned (except Wellbutrin, which is fairly new.) My point is that I've lived the hell of needing medications, so I've tried everything along the way. Then one day when I was ready to crack up completely, a plain ole ordinary paramedic told me to drink a 32 ounce cup of Water during an attack. I didn't think I could drink it because I couldn't even breathe, but somehow he helped me through it. Then he made me drink a 2nd one. I was so full and had trouble getting the 2nd cup down, but then I started running to the bathroom. Suddenly I realized that my anxiety attack never went full-blown for the first time in my life. The paramedic explained to me that the body gets so busy processing all that water that it can't process and have an anxiety attack at the same time. It works. Plain old water. To top it off, I got so desperate that I went to a psychic. She touched my hands and jumped back & said I burned her. She told me electricity was flying through my body, then she told me the only way to put out fire is with water. Lots of water. The last med I tried was Buspar, which nearly caused me to have a seizure. Now I use water therapy, and I haven't had a full blown attack in many years. On a horrible day you might see me with my hands shaking trying to get water down my throat, but soon the panic is gone and I'm just running to the bathroom feeling fine. Sometimes the answer is right in front of us all along.
  11. Wow, you sound like you're doing amazing. I didn't feel hungry for 2 weeks because I was so bloated with horrific gurgling from the top of my new belly to the bottom of my abdomen. I felt plain old lousy. I'm hungry right now, so that homemade broth sounds good even to me! Welcome to the banded side! Good luck to you. Oh, my new "full" feeling is much different than before. Now I feel full high up, like inbetween my rib cage.
  12. Thanks! It's fun and bouncy. I can't grow hair long cause it snaps and splits. I wish I had the nerve to go short-short!
  13. Now y'all know my secret... I'm really Elvis. 'Cilla, make me another peanut butter nanner sammy.
  14. There's a rash of office equipment being stolen here. They got one computer from our office but a bunch of stuff from others. They put it all in a van & sell it dirt cheap. They took our stamp machine! Like you'd ever think of protecting a stamp machine.
  15. "Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach a person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks." SNORT! Good one!
  16. Hmmm... I saw a SPJones posting here asking about band slippage. SPJones, is that you? Okay, I'm just kidding so no getting mad at me... but... you never see both of them in the same room at the same time.
  17. BTY, thanks! Penni fixed it.
  18. I told my hairdresser to do whatever she wanted. She gave me a blonde bob in the front and brunette flip in the back. She had me looking like a damn movie star, but I can't make it look anything like what it's supposed to look like. Thanks for the compliment. I look really old in the close up. I don't know if I have a program at work to shrink the pixels, so I'll do it from home tonight. Thanks
  19. They denied it? Sitting here with mouth dropped open. I called her cell (the one she used while working for Lopez) and it's been disconnected. Did they just write her off and she no longer exists?
  20. Okay, now I'm at work and trying to shrink the pic using Powerpoint. When I re-size, I only get options for percentages, not pixels. How do I shrink pixels?
  21. That's what I did, but I should have cropped my face smaller first. You live, you learn (that's the song Alanis is singing me now.)
  22. What program do you use to shrink the avatar to 50x50 pixels? I just brought a brand new & fairly advanced puter. But 50x50 isn't an option for me. I can only shrink to 67x50 or 50x37 with my picture software.
  23. My weekends always suck since we socialize so much around food & drinks. But I've had my morning 1% with coffee, and my mid-morning yogurt.
  24. They might bill your insurance $1000.00, but insurance will only pay a small portion, and they'll write off the balance. I never did understand this practice where the insurance only pays what they feel like paying. Nor do I understand why they bill us one fee, but they triple the bill to the insurance company.
