approval without letter of necessity
Does your PCP just not want to give you one? That totally sucks....is changing PCP's an option? It just seems so ridiculous for him/her not to give you the letter......I'm so sorry

Daily Calories... I dont understand
I'm lucky if I get in 800 calories a day, I'm one week short of 7 months post op. I stay away from processed foods and eat lean proteins, veggies and fruit.....I always get in between 100 and 120 oz of water a day. I just had my labs done a few weeks ago and my doc said everything looks great. Like Missy said everyone's nutritional needs are different, this works for me. I hope you find what works for you. Best Wishes

Food Question (how I've eaten)
You body will definitely benefit from whole natural foods, lean meat and fish, fresh fruit and veggies, healthy whole grains, a lot of water, your body will thank you for it...processed, chemical ladened foods are what made us fat in the first place....Best Wishes

low-cal yogurt
I've tried the French Onion one, it was just okay, I only had about a tablespoon with a few cherry tomatoes, but I may mix it in some tuna...good suggestion!

100 lbs lost!!
6 months and 3 weeks ago. I was a huffing, puffing, size 24 wearing, 286 lb weighing miserable woman...today I weighed in at 186.2!!, 100 lbs gone and so much more, gone are the size 24's replaced with 12's (I have a lot of muscle!), I don't huff and puff anymore, I can run!, food does not consume my days or my thoughts anymore and I'm happy!! not miserable....If you are struggling or just starting out...I'm just a normal person, my band isn't magic, I follow the rules and respect my band, you can too

Congrats on your 1 year anniversary and amazing loss!

How do you handle different scales?
I have a Taylor digital scale too, it's about 6 years old, my doctors office and my surgeons office both weigh me 1 lb heavier than mine at home.....if it's an option I would buy a new scale,....Darn scales, can be so frustrating, especially in your situation, so sorry and good job on losing!....Best Wishes
-
If you could give 1 piece of Pre-op advice, what would it be?
Don't compare your weight loss to other peoples, it's your journey and you will reach your goal in your time if you work with your band..Best Wishes

anyone from dorset
I'm not from Dorset but I want to say, you aren't alone....there are so many wonderful people on here willing to give advice and lend an ear. Dig deep and get back on track, go back to basics, talk to your nutritionist if you can, visit a support group, but don't give up, you can do this and you are more than worth it
