Before I lost weight I was never cold; I was always warm/hot. No, cold is not the most comfortable situation, but to me, it is a celebration of change! I would rather wear a jacket, sweatshirt or even a coat (hardly EVER wore a coat before!) than almost 50 extra pounds for warmth! Besides, now I can sit in a ball on the sofa, reading or watching tv, with my feet under me and my knees drawn up because my belly is no longer in the way...as much. lol
Any other 'weird' NSV's?

Personally I cannot do aspartame and I'm very wary of any artificial sweeteners (sucralose, etc.). I like it that Steevia is a plant. I've grown it in my garden (not that I actually dried it and ground it, etc., I just buy it). Give me a plant over a test tube concoction any time, but that's just me.

I wanted to share this one with the board...
I started 2013 at 300 lbs, today I am 232. Got some more work ahead of me but I am very excited at what I have accomplished.
Also I finally broke down and bought new clothes... it was getting rediculous! Went from 54-56 pants to 46; 3x-4x shirts to XL.

I had my surgery in Birmingham and Dr. Pennington was my Doctor that helped me change my life! His staff is very professional and his office has a wonderful Christian atmosphere. They are organized with through the whole process from the beginning to the end and will prepare you completely to help you succeed once the surgery is over. It has been 1 year and a month and I have a 10cc band and 6.25 fill. I have lost approx 85lbs thus far and went down so many sizes! My health is better than it has been in a long time and my self esteem is even better. This doctor impressed me with his confidence, gentleness, concern, and knowledge. I would recommend this doctor to all of my friends and family. Many thanks to Dr. Pennington and his staff for all they did to help me!

Today is day 5 post op for me. I actually went back to work yesterday. I will say I'm extremely tired. You could probably attend the party, but I wouldn't want to stay for a long period of time. Good luck with your surgery!

I had my surgery this morning. I'm doing really good. Got home around 2pm and just been resting and trying to walk as much as possible. I have only taken pain medicine once since I got home. If I could get rid of all this "gas" pain I would be doing so much better! So glad to finally be on the other side.

I just got my approval today!! So excited and relieved. Surgery is scheduled for Jan 10th.

I am on the 10th! I am excited for all of us !!!

I start my pre-op on the 3rd so i will have 7 days of it. Great way to start the new year.

Dr. Britt will also be doing my surgery. I have been on the 6 month diet which ends in December. I'm excited and can't wait to get a date set!
