    Yeah it's weird - even though I'm not losing people still are telling me I'm looking thinner.. I think it's still shifting and adjusting ?! Time to get a little more serious . I'm bad about my Water intake and I still like sweets and candy is a problem ( lol). If I gave up sweets and drank more water it might do the trick .

I worms be thrilled to get down 20lbs more - and I will do it !! Maybe by Halloween ? Looking great and not a lot of loose skin at all because I lost fairly slowly . Vegasme got a reaction from grateful-1 in Surgery tomorrow! Still wondering if I could do this myself!
    Oops I was also worried and sad that it had truly come to surgery and removing a perfectly healthy stomach for me to lose weight. I made a list of all of the ways my weight was limiting my life ( breathing, embarrassed, no clothes .. Etc). There was no other way out of my hell ( in my opinion on a permanent basis) for me. The first few days after surgery were tough and painful but I feel like a new person now ( I'm 6 wks post op and -31lbs) with real hope for the first time in years!! Best thing I've ever done for me! Ps . I'm not mourning food - not very hungry and I can eat what I want . If I'm dying for a bite of cheesecake I have it - not a big deal anymore and I don't feel the need to finish it or stuff myself. I feel in control. Good luck

    I believe mine is head hunger because my stomach isn't growling or anything I'm just obsessing over how good food looks and tastes but then I'm full quick .. My dr says just drink Water Water water and do an activity to get your mind off it . I find my mouth is salivating as I watch the food channel ( crazy ) . Dr says my mind is trying to get me to think about food all the time to put back on weight bc it doesn't know how to stop the weight loss that is occurring . Ahhh ....

    Also don't weigh everyday - once a week is enough otherwise you will get crazy as you will see yourself gaining and losing the same few lbs during week before you lose

    I was sleeved 7/22 and have a hard time getting in all my Water too . You may want to take a gas x strip before eating to get rid of the air - that might be your problem .. If you sleeve is full of air it's uncomfortable to eat . You may be someone that unintentionally swallows a lot of air while eating ? Also , don't drink out of straws - gives you a lot of air as well

    So I am 12 days post op ... Sleeved July 22. Can anyone else give me a run down of a typical day what are you eating/ drinking?? I feel like maybe I am eating too often ? Or too much? My dr told me to ease into solid foods so tonight I had probably 1/4 of a can of progreso minestrone Soup for dinner but also had a little bit of puréed potatoes with finely chopped turkey deli meat for lunch and 1/2 can of Tomato bisque for Breakfast - somewhere in there I also had a Protein Drink ... Just wondering where others are at?

    I got sleeved on the 22nd and am finally feeling more like myself! So .. At 10 days post op I'm down 17 lbs which is fabulous. I haven't lost anything in the past 2-3 days which the dr says will happen (I think I will start weighing in once a week now). Incisions are healing nicely - even though my entire stomach has been itching like crazy for a week ! I have been eating lots of Soups and cottage cheese , Protein Shakes and have just ventured into really soft veggies and a little chicken. When I sit down to eat I feel hungry but soon realize I can't eat very much.. The dr says that's the mind tricks and since my body had just lost a lot of weight my brain is making me think of food a lot. Hmmm.. All in all everything good great so far .Still tired if I try to do too much in the day .

    Vegasme got a reaction from beba238 in Relationship woes, anyone?
    So terrible! I think everyone fears this a little.... I know it has crossed my mind . I also know that it feels like any change in my partners affection would bother me to some degree.. If he is suddenly all over me - smothering me will I feel like he wasn't accepting of me a little heavier so why should I care now? Or if he is uninterested in me thinner- is he selfish and unsupportive? I guess it is tough- damned if they do or don't. I think its natural to have more confidence and be excited after weight loss .. but you are still YOU! To me it just says that the relationship was more superficial than you thought-- maybe time to just move forward to someone new. If the love of your life cant handle a little weight gain or loss -- it is my belief that it wouldn't have lasted anyways.. it would eventually have run its course even if you were still fat.

    I know this may sound corny, but it is a good poem, and I've found it very accurate.
    People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
    When you figure out which one it is,
    you will know what to do for each person.
    When someone is in your life for a REASON,
    it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
    They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
    to provide you with guidance and support;
    to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
    They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
    They are there for the reason you need them to be.
    Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
    this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
    Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
    Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
    What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
    The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.
    Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
    because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
    They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
    They may teach you something you have never done.
    They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
    Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.
    LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
    things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
    Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,
    and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
    It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

    when i was training i was so surprised about the number of relationship breakups when an alcoholic began recovery. not implying you are that, but that long term relationships are in balance and when a big perturbation happens sometimes the balance is irrevocably disturbed. nevertheless it does not mean that anyone needs to remain in their disease to keep the relationship. Guilt doesnt enter into it. you did what you had to do. I have been married for 35 years and my wife has never seen me at a good weight. I have no choice but to move forward, if it disrupts our relationship we will deal with that when it happens, but guilt is not an option. If I have to remain unhealthy to keep her, then that is a problem in itself. IMHO
