  3. So happy you are home and everything went okay. Congratulations!
  4. I couldn't wear knee high boots when I was a size 6. God "blessed" me with muscular calves :-(
  5. Congratulations. It's awesome when people besides your family recognize your progress.
  6. I felt the same way at my first appointment...it's all very over-whelming. I can tell you that I have decided on the band because I want a less invasive procedure and I believe that with this tool I can be successful. I am young as well and just can't see having my stomach cut apart. And I feel very confident that I can be one of the successful ones by following my doctors instructions and doing the work. I know there are pros and cons to every surgery, but at this point in my life, the band seems like the best option for me. Good luck on whatever path you decide.
  7. So weird all the conflicting theories on hairloss. I was told it is due to the loss of Protein you experience after surgery...since most people can't get all their protein in. I started taking Biotin about a month ago and I have no idea when I might be banded...on the six month supervised diet right now. I will caution you on the Biotin, it can cause breakouts...so you'll want to start on the lowest dosage you can find. I'm currently on 750 ml...found it on Amazon.
  8. That's awesome! Congratulations on all your success!!!
  9. Congratulations, best of luck and wishing you a speedy recovery!

  14. ROTFLMAO!! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!
  15. No need to convince. They are just making sure that you understand that this isn't a miracle fix...that you are completely aware of all the possible outcomes. You'll do fine.
  16. Congratulations and best wishes!
  17. I have not been banded yet, but from what I've learned on this forum I think what you're experiencing is fairly common. I've heard this phase referred to as Bandster Hell....the time after surgery, before you get fills. Just hang in there! You're doing great!
  18. The weirdest question I was asked was if I was good at saving money. That threw me. I guess there's a correlation between being obese and being poor at saving money.
  19. Congratulations Maddy!
  20. Go to whatever hospital you want.
