  1. Oh wow...my supervisor just aked me about these a couple hours ago! So random :-)
  2. I'm sorry. That really sucks. Don't let it get you too down though.
  3. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery!
  4. What kind of health issues?
  5. Congratulations! And on a side note...your dog is adorable!!
  6. I think I read on here that carbonated drinks make a person burp a ton. If you really want a beer, try a Guiness? Don't think that is carbonated. Also not sure if it's worth all the calories. I'd go with Rayanne's apply vodka peach concoction instead :-)
  7. I'm so sorry. Hopefully you can get the slip fixed quickly.
  8. Good luck to you Good luck to you! I'm also just starting out. Just started my six month supervised diet and my surgeon is hoping I will be able to have the surgery by July...fingers crossed.
  9. I ran into the same thing at my seminar. The surgeon who ran it was anti-lap band and actually doesn't even perform the lap band procedure. I'm not sure if I'm just stubborn and don't want to take his opinion...but I said screw his opinion and am basing my opinion on the success stories posted on this forum. I know that if I follow the plan and exercise the band will work for me. I know it will be a struggle, but I'm willing to fight. I'm betting you're willing to fight as well. Good luck on whatever path you choose.
  10. I met a girl in Napa over the weekend and she had a permanant one on her engagement ring. It kinda looked like a "ledge" at the bottom of the ring. It was kinda cool, never saw anyone with that before.
  11. You could try a Ring Snuggie until you get down to your goal weight and then have your rings sized. I found these at Wal-Mart.
  12. Congratulations and good luck!
  13. Good morning everyone. I started a new group and I'm hoping some of you will join. I started California Bandsters. I've noticed there are lots of people from the East Coast on here, but I haven't seen many from the West, specifically California. I'm hoping to find some "locals". Have a great day!
  14. I would think you would be fine, since the cabin is pressurized. Hope you have a safe trip.
  15. Thank you both :-)
  16. LOL...this totally made me think of my seminar. Someone actually asked, "How much it cost to lose 100 pounds?'" And she was SERIOUS! She really thought you paid per pound. She kept asking it over and over like the surgeon didn't understand what she was asking. Oh wow!
  17. And Dr Coirin doesn't do it. I asked at my first appointment. Although in my case it doesn't really matter since my insurance won't cover it anyways.
  18. Good morning. I have a quck questions for all you lap banders out there. My first appointment with my nutritionist is tomorrow morning and I'm wondering what I should ask her? I have a list of my own going...but just want to make sure I don't forget anything important
  19. Best of luck to you! I quit 2 months ago and it is amazing how your sense of smell and taste come back. Now I can smell the smokers when they come back from break. So happy I no longer reek like them.
  20. I agree...yes I want to be healthy and all that jazz....but I really want to shop! Feel better about myself. Be a trophy wife. Be able to hike on my next trip to Hawaii. The goals are endless
  21. I think those are all normal fears and we all have them. I haven't been banded yet, but there are tons of success stories on this forum. And from what I gather, the band works if you do the work and follow the rules. It's a tool, not a miracle cure. Knowing this, I myself, have decided to proceed with the lap band. And my first step was attending a free seminar. Best of luck to you with whatever you decide.
  22. I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure that can only be done on a PC.
