Actually, any surgery can lead to hair loss. It's the drugs they pump into you during and after surgery, specifically anesthetic. This is why so many band patients lose hair 3-6 months after surgery

Well I didn't take Biotin and I'm 9wks out, so I think I'll try the butter and hope for the best. I also heard that it doesn't last forever and hair grows back. Hope that's right too. Very thin fine

So I've read a lot of posts about people losing their hair or having it thin out after being banded. Would you recommend starting Biotin before the surgery maybe to help prevent a lot of hair loss? I'm going to talk to my doctor about it, but I'm curious to know what you all think.
