Here is a before picture that I was trying to find it was taken June 2012 @ my son's Graduation Dinner @@Olive Garden , then I was Banded in September of 2012 so now you all know what I looked like before , and through here you know what I look like now so far , sorry this is the only way I know to post the pics.

Not to be mean , but it will happen again on other foods but you will learn as we all did , well it sounds as if you had your stop signals remember them and how it felt and you will know when that time comes again , it's no fun , but you will know to say not another bite , this is my humor .

All I can say is what I always say do your research about all wls and decided what YOU think is best for YOU and YOU only , I have friends and family that have had many of the different wls and I knew what was best for me .

I just bought a few shirts like 2 weeks ago when I tried them in the store they fit just right now I have to keep pulling them up so the girls or bra straps aren't showing also I still go to the plus size & start there then I go to what they consider the normal sizes and start at the biggest size and go down till I find what fits , sometimes I even take 3 of the same pants or shirts but in different sizes to make sure what fits and I'm comfortable with, some makes are smaller than others it depends on the cut.

Ok I am going to put it out there who are you doing or why are you even thinking of getting wls take that in to consideration , ,heck I tell everybody now , why because I don't care what people think it was not any one's decision but mine and my family & friends that were with me before me being banded are still there , I for one have a healthier, movable life and I am not sluggish and tired all the time like I was , good luck on your journey .

That's awesome I bet you are happy , now the journey begins and the nervousness kicks in just follow the pre op & post op instructions & you will do great , again still don't forget to write down everything you want to ask or to be answered .

Keep trying to get a hold of that Doctor and let them know the PA said they couldn't get a hold of them , I really hope it works out for you , but enjoy your vacation , keep us posted .

I was going to say the same thing about being able to get a hold of your Surgeon at any time , this should be required for all Lap band surgeons & for them to let us know what hospitals close to us that we can go to that they are affiliated with , it is not right that the PA could not call the Doctor, just my opinion I bet if it was them they could get a hold of the Doctor , this made me upset , I hope it works out for you & it's not bad or hopefully it's nothing but this is no good .

I know it helped me , just a suggestion I wrote down everything I wanted to ask and asked if I had any more questions that I forgot to ask could I call or text and ask if I needed to , my Surgeon said no problem he could tell I was scared , but I was at ease when he said no problem.

They should cover it, I mean after all their gonna be in there anyway , also you might ask the Surgeon if he/she is going to also do a hiatal hernia repair , I Personally had bad gerd, heartburn & reflux before the kind where you had to find where you had to let it go , if you know what I mean , sorry had to put it out there, after surgery I haven't had it at all .

So what did you decide on & did you have surgery yet and how do you feel so far?

I will say I don't remember the first day out of recovery , but People & Family know not to wake me up if I am sleeping ,so I guess my Surgeon & nurse's were trying to wake me up and I said a few choice words to them & my Mother was standing in the room , she told them she doesn't wake up well at least that's what my Mother told me, then of course the nurse's had to clean me ,bed, & bathroom because after they made me walk a few times things(diarrhoea) started moving & no way get up fast after any surgery.

Noodles are substance, so if you want them you have to blend them till there nothing, I was only allowed Clear Soups or Broth for the few days they gave me , but if you didn't get the pre or post op diet you can look it up online and maybe that would help , you , just my opinion.

Don't forget to ask if they do floor or barium swallow & how much that might be, hopefully you wrote down all your questions that needed to be answered , do they take other Surgeons patients , like I said the 1 surgeon that wouldn't take me is 15 minutes away , so I drive a hr. away , that's ok because I really like my surgeon.

Well at least you didn't wait till it got REAL bad and you did the right thing by going to your Doctor , I am so glad you are feeling better .

I agree, but she does blog on Carolina girl WordPress, if you look back she said we could find her there, I did text her & let her know.

Thank you , Alex I now know this is the one I was talking about , there is a Chapter I guess it started a couple of weeks ago , but this past Saturday , for the Chino & surrounding areas , also , so I was confused , but I am sooooo going to try & make the one in April 2015.

You know if it didn't get better to contact your Surgeon , to make sure , I guess I didn't help , so PLEASE call and see if maybe they can do a fluro or barium swallow check to see , hopefully your not to filled, hope everything gets better & you are o k.

I think you were having the last meal syndrome yes it's a real thing , I remember my last meal for 2 days were Taco Bell & Dell Taco, oh and don't forget my favorite ,which I can't eat now & I did try once a few months after being banded it was chili cheese fries, well look up last meal syndrome on the site , you will see it is normal for us to eat something we know might be bad for us but males us feel good, however if we knew how to control our portions and eat right we wouldn't be needing help from our owls and we wouldn't be looking for help if WE could have done it on our own , so don't be discouraged, just make sure you follow what ever pre &post op directions your Doctor gives and says for you to do , good luck ,keep us posted , good luck on what ever journey you choose.

Did it help at all I hope you are feeling better today did it pass, be of eating, drinking to much at one time to fast or drinking with meals, those things are very important and the stuck episodes are no fun , but enjoy your journey.

All I know is if you choose the HMO then you have to g to those doctors and you have to get Referals for everything at least in Calif. and if you go with the ppo then you can chose any doctors that is just my opinion because as you know I have been trying to get my Mother on board , however I just found out that she has a hmo not ppo insurance and her pcp wil not authorize for her to have wls, so she would have to pay out of pocket , changing and making choices for insurance sucks , also there is a Lapband Surgeon 15 min. away from me and he wouldn't take me on , so now I drive a hr away for my fills , a lot of doctors won't take you if you have been going to someone else so take that in to consideration and do your research and ask questions if the other doctors are willing , and you also have to get your records so the new Doctors know , again just my opinion.
