  1. Oh and I hope I helped in some way hope it feels better soon, so don't worry unless it goes on for more than a he. Or a (couple) of days , but it shouldn't hurt your band .
  2. Yes sounds like a stuck episode, don't drink or eat anything for about a hour, then try to take a sip, not a gulp, of cold water see if it stays down if it does take another sip , if it all stays down then you should be fine , but if you just got a fill recently and keeps up , then you know what we say call your Surgeon, those ,slimming stuck episode's are gross.
  3. NO it will not hurt your band, unless it's on going, you are doing the right thing by sticking to liquids , to let it settle down , now my question is you say pbing, or do you mean slimming & being stuck has a lot of different factors , now the reason I ask is because all of it has happened to me at one time or another , and I know it feels awful, but I ask because maybe I can help or try to.
  4. I didn't know about the plication when I got my band placed or I would have asked for it, however you can Google or look for it on this site if I were you I would ask the Surgeon to explain in detail , however I still have lost almost a 150 lbs , just my issues with thyroid and these last few lbs seem to not won't to leave my body & it was the best thing I did for myself , good luck on what you decide on your surgery & Journey, just remember to follow the pre op & post op your Surgeon gives you & you will do good.
  5. My Mother just asked me the other night if I had any of my Atkins candy bars I told her know and when I do I have to keep them in my room ,because the whole family would eat them I found that out , when I bought a few different one's to try for my sweet cravings, I haven't had any sweets in a while except for sugar free non fat frozen yogurt, and , my Mother made the comment you haven't had any of those in a while I told her no I haven't ,but there at the store if you want some , she said that's ok I think we have ice cream , I told her feel free , that O would just get a big glass of water & that satisfied me .
  6. Oh my gosh, sorry to hear that, hopefully it's not bad and maybe they can fix it quick , you have been doing so well I wander what could have caused your band to slip, good luck.
  7. Hopefully I am going to try and make it, I live in the OC, area ,so maybe it's about only , 2 to 3 hours away that would be cool.
  8. No there is nothing you can do unless you get them scrapped till they go away, or go to a professional podiitris, at least that's what my Pcp said about mine , I wasn't sure why this blister was hurting, hard & getting bigger, now I know it is plantar fasciitis or whatever it's called.
  9. Just my opinion but if she is a Real friend , then she probably feels a bit hurt and doesn't know what to expect and is scared , have a talk with her with a glass of wine before surgery and involve her , However like I was going to say if she's a real friend then she will stick around, some people do lose friends that were not Real friends ,I have not but some people, but in my opinion you should do what is best for your health ,body and mind, we always have & will think of other people before our selves , but once you do what you think is good for YOU ,then other things will fall where they should, good luck.
  10. If you are any type of band patient then post in the banders section as there are a lot of different types of bands ,you are not a gastric, sleeve Rny or other owls patient but you are a band patient I have talked with people that have plication with band and some of us are interested in the types of owls they do with the band now & for future patients ,they may be interested also, so jump on to the band site.

  17. Dylanmiles we all have different issues ,but we have the tool to help us ,so work with your tool and do what is best for YOU be comfortable in whatever you wear and do eat ,have fun just eat what your tool will allow or in moderation ,you will be fine ,sometimes we have set backs ,we just have to get back on the wagon and grab the reins and steer in the right direction ,but dance and have fun ,yes dancing is a fun way to exercise, quit beating yourself up and remember we got our health and mobility back and what we had to go through to get it back ,have fun and enjoy.
  18. Lisacaron ,that is so awesome so the time is wrong ,but that is GREAT , WOW 45 minutes , good going and your husband is up and moving around which is good at least he's not just sitting around but joining in yea so happy for the both of you ,keep the positive attitudes going.
  19. Hey I am just asking but does the clock on the back of your head say almost 2 hours , dang that is Awesome I don't know if I could even do a mile , I bet you are proud of yourself as we are I can see by the smile on your face, but that over sized shirt has got to go lol .
  20. I wander if this Doctor needs help his self as I am a band patient and have lost about 144 lbs in 2 years, if I was to meet him I would tell him this is the best thing I did for my health and life I can do spook much more than I used to be able to do and yes sometimes if I don't feel my stop signals then that is my fault and I will slime, NOT be bulimic or VOMIT but , I don't get to those points often and I know not to drink with my meals , so yes I have to work with my tool to do what is best for me.
  21. I just saw this post ughh I have to take my Son to a dentist appointment at that time if I would have saw this earlier in the week I could have made it for a later time , however I know you were waiting to hear for the place to come through, everybody good luck and have fun meeting ,learning and talking.
