I know I should know this but,...
Penni any problems with reflux or heartburn? Consistent PBing? If no to both then I think you are OK ..as long as you are eating your hard proteins even if it is taking forever to do so, but if you have resorted to soft foods and liquids then maybe you are a tad too tight. Ortiz tells me if I resort to soft foods and liquids becasue I am afraid to eat solids then Iam too tight, if I have consistent reflux or heartburn then Iam a tad too tight..Luckily for me I have had neither. Yes to you other question about the weather. I think it plays a big role in it for me, and there have been women here who have gotten fills and months later became too tight and had to get an unfill Sultana is one of those women here. Could it be that this is true restriction? One of the people who had there band right after me had had 2 fills and thought he was doing greathahad lost 30lbs in 6 months and had fabulous restriction until he got his last fill with me on Jan 17th, his exact words were .." Now this is restriction" He never knew what true restriction felt like until this last fill. He has been losing the 1-3 lbs a week like you are suppossed to if following the rules..so maybe this is what is happeneing to you??

Jealousy
Jealousy is a sign of ones own insecurities. You can not worry about how he is going to feel...that is his issue he needs to deal with , this is about you. If he is not insecure and truly loves you and you truly love him then you both will reap the benefits of your band. I know this to be true since my husband is reapin em now If all he is worried about is you going our clubbin, thne I believe there is more of a problem. Going clubbin should be the least of his worries with you making such a lifestyle change.

just wondering about weight lose
Julie, it is quite normal to experience no weight loss once you start back onto solids..do not fret. It took my body a little over a week to get used to it. It iwll happen again, the scale will start moving..Remember this is nota race but a journey, there is no hurry, also the band was designed to be inflated to work at it's best ability. The first 6 weeks is for healing any weight loss before your first fill is a bonus..once you get a fill you should notice a difference in your restriction and eating..If you feel you are eating too much , one way to determine this is to log onto fitday.com or to join our Food Journal thread, there is something about seeing it on paper that makes you realize just how much or how little you are eating.Everybody's weight loss during this phase is so different. I was fortunate to not need a fill until 9 weekspost op and lost 20 lbs up until that time just from the restriction I had from the placement of the band..while others need a fill right at the 6 week mark and otherswho did not need one for months out..Hang in there , you are normal

No restriction after fill?
Theresa the woman you referred to in your post looks like she has a 10cc band which is why she has gotten such larger fills then those who have a 4cc band which is most of us who went to Mexico. The 10cc band needs 1-2 cc's per fil lto get the restriction right, those who have the 10 cc band will agree with this. Putting .5 cc in a 10 cc band is hardly comparable to putting in .5 ccs into a 4 cc band Most of us who went to Mexico have a 4cc band, however there are some with larger BMI whe went to Mexico and got the 10 cc band Here is an excerpt from Dr. Ortiz's book who is a Mexican surgeon " The protocol frequently used in the U.S is 1cc to 1.2 cc's in the first fill and then visits every two weeks where incriments of .2 cc's are added until the desired restriction is attained. Fill preformed outside the U.S. are usually more aggressive" I have had 3 fills with my Mexican doctor and will not need any moreto get me to my goal wTheresaeight. I think he was pretty aggressive.
