  1. Been shaking it! how's it goin Cheri? burned a bunch the other day doing 40mins! felt great!
  2. Hiyas all.. My name is Kayna and I live in South Florida. I really feel I am in need of some budding at this point. I have been doing great for the most part.. but need some extra support to keep on track. I don't mess up often.. but I do sometimes.. ( such as this weekend ) grrr me! I am taking accountability for it.. I am serious about making a lifestyle change and have done so drastically so far but it is not enough yet.. I am not perfect by any means which is why i am here. hehe.. I was banded on Oct 22nd, 2012. Had my first fill on nov 28th of 2cc and that now gives me a 2cc total in my band. My next fill is Dec 19th. I would love for this to be my sweet spot.. Oooh ya! Here's to hopin! hehe If anyone would love to support one another, don't hesitate to shoot me a message. Take care and congrats all on coming this far! It sure is not an easy path.. but there is light at the end of it.
  3. Hiyas all.. Im in palm beach county.. delray area! How are you all doing? No one seems to have posted in awhile!! time to livin this place back up floridans! had my surgery on oct 22, 2012.. would love to get to ya know you all.. I know maddy and maddy is awesssommmeeeee!
  4. Hiyas mandy! welcome and congrats on getting your approval and taking your life back! The best decision ever made.. reading these forums will give you such a better insight on what you have to look forward to. So many successful stories to read that will just inspire you. And some not so successful.. but take the good with the bad.. and learn from the mistakes from the ones who have not been so successful. That in itself will make the time fly! lol.. *hugs**! welcome aboard!
  5. Sandie Cookies my family makes every christmas. they are my absolute favorite.. but thank god.. I am in florida and not california! so that much easier for me! lol.. if I were there, I would no doubt have at least 1.
  6. If you want it to be private.. be private hun. Especially work.. they don't need to know anything you don't want them to. Good Luck!! and grats on taking this next step!
  7. YAY! thats awesome! you'll get there.. maybe slowly.. but surely!
  8. Hiyas! Congrats on your surgery! now for the fun part! hehe..
  9. Hmmm.. well your profile isn't filled out at all.. so no idea where local is! city/state?
  10. Enjoy it? Now get your booty back on track!! It happens.. be careful because they want you to lose some weight to shrink your liver so it doesn't get in the way during surgery! and Grats .. you are so close!
  11. I have not been tested but there isn't a doubt in my mind that I have PCOS. It's been 2 months since pre op and post and have lost about 40lbs. Not to shabby. I hope it doesn't slow drastically.. but exercise does seem to help that metabolism going. I eat mostly low carbs and the carbs are do eat are complex carbs.
  12. I track everything on myfitnesspal. It is so easy.. and it is motivating actually. I read that people who track lose more weight than people who don't. Of course there are exceptions. I definitely believe that to be true.. because you take accountability for what you are putting in your mouth. So long as you are honest in your tracking.. if you aren't then what's the point. I even track my bad days!! myfitnesspal is so easy too.. and not to time consuming, it has a very large database for food.. click and done. Good Luck to ya hun!
  13. good luck on flight and surgery! we'll see ya when ya get back! yay!
  14. OD I get ya.. I do understand both sides here... Some it's called tough love and I know they do mean well, and I can see how some of that offends and puts off new banders also. I was one and still am, and sometimes I'm like geesh myself.. until I read it again and I understand, they really do mean well ad want us all to succeed. Some people have it easy and are lucky and don't need fills, some need multiple.. we are all different and lose weight differently. Hang in there.. it will definitely get easier. I had no clue how hard it was going to be. I would come to my surgeon about what I read here on LBT, saying.. I read it will take 3 months or more to feel restriction, and he said.. Oooh no! you will feel it right away ( with no fill ) Well, I've had 1 fill and I still don't.. But I am pushing on.. as I know you will also. It is fustrating, and it sure the hell is bandsters hell.. but we will push on, because we know if we don't.. where our life will end up.. and be.. exactly what we were before.. Unhealthy and completely unhappy.. and this is a small price to pay for the way we will feel in no time.. and when I say no time.. Did you see Hoe FAST this year flew by!! ya.. we got this!! Kick its butt hun!
  15. It won't be you so long as you don't allow yourself to give up. Failure is not an option. !! you are doing great.. and you will be a success!
  16. Exactly .. it is just money.. sometimes we all have to make sacrifices. This is not selfish in any way shape or form. Pre op.. I had all KINDS of mixed emotions.. crying.. happy.. anxious.. nervous.. you name it. After all was said and done, and I went through with it, It was the BEST decision I could have made for myself and my loved ones. They much rather have you around much longer than an IPAD or something superficial. I haven't felt this great in sooo long! Trust us.. and yourself.. you will not regret this. **hugs**!
  17. lol I feel ya pain.. I am up right now.. and I wanna munch! lol.. I think we need to go to bed earlier! lol.. make some tea! that helps me a lot
  18. Hiyas and welcome Smiles! I was freaked out by some posts also! I was prepared to go through some post op pain after surgery, luckily it wasn't half as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was on liquids 7days before surgery and 2-3 weeks after.. I was so sick of liquids it wasn't even funny. But that is pretty much the worse of it.. we all go through it.. No Pain.. No Gain.. right? lol.. nothing is ever.. "easy" but .. after doing all this, and having the right foods in my fridge.. something clicked after getting banded.. I didn't crave the other things much anymore. I did here and there but then I grabbed something good and munched.. it helps a lot. as far as the getting stuck, I haven't expierenced that and I hope not to. But from what My dr tells me and other's on here, eat slow and chew chew chew! and you should be fine. But there will be things some people cannot tolerate. Anyway.. good luck to ya!! it is so exciting to know.. you are taking your life back !
  19. Sorry to hear that hun.. her support should not end because she disagree's with you. Just know, we are all here supporting you!!! I know it's not the same.. but we are all going through this process together. You are going to work hard.. and kick ass at this! show yhour ex bf.. you what can really become of you when you put your mind to something.. and show your mom she has nothing to worry about. **hugs to you**!! You got this girl!! I'll pray for a speedy recovery!! You are going to be awessssome!!
  20. Love, This was a great post, and one that needed to be posted. I read some of these and I think the same thing.. Thank you for always being so supportive to everyone.. it helps way more than you know. Much love! <3
  21. that sounds amazing right now.. ahhhhhh
  22. Clear liquid Full liquid Mushy Soft Regular (as tolerated) same here! With mushy stage.. my Dr also said that as long as I can chew it to mush it would be fine.. I was having a hard time with the thought of pureeding food in a blender.. also said as long as I can mush it with a fork.. was fine also.
  23. how do you feel with the 6cc?

Thanks for sharing.. I think that would be one of my hardest things to grasps once I am at restriction or the spot I should be at. I eat when watching t.v.. on the comp.. etc. need to pay attention more! I don't want to go through that.
