  2. Woo Wooo~~!! You look great!!! and Ohh How I miss those days.. I had grown to dread them instead of welcome them! Keep up the great work.. you're almost there!
  3. I had a sleep study as well, and I slept a little also because of all the wires and it also made me feel warm. lol.. I am one that has to sleep with a fan on me. The little sleep I did have was enough for them to tell me I had sleep apnea. ><
  4. Ya, I know how you feel. I even talk about it all the time, I have to tell people, You must be sick of me talking about this! good thing, they are just happy I am happy.
  5. I've never heard of this.. hmm.. I'll check out that link! Ok, well that looks so awesome!! I want one now! lol
  6. Oh hun, most of the people who do not have success with the band is because they don't change their lifestyle the way it needs to be changed. It is not with just the band, but with all other WLS too. Yes, they'll get the weight off a bit faster, BUT!! because they don't really change their lifestyle, end up regaining their weight. Happened to a friend with the bypass surgery,. and 2 friends with the sleeve. It is all up to the person. We are going to have struggles because we always failed with diets, lost some, gained back... the band really helps ( once you get a couple fills ) to satisfy your hunger. I have never been a compliant patient, but I am starting to see that if I want success, I better. It's taken me a couple months to figure this out lol.. but now, I am taking the small bites and chewing and waiting close to a minute to take another bite.. omg.. it is the hardest thing for me !! but I get my soft stop so quickly it seems and I stop.. Since doing it the RIGHT way, sad to say 2 days now, I've lost 2.5 lbs!! Oh yes.... I am following the rules! hehe.. I still have things I enjoy also.. It is really hard in band hell when you feel you have nothing but your will power and we all know that only lasts for so long.. how bad do you Want it? It will come.. and you will be a new person!!
  7. THAT IS HUGE!! omg!! Grats!! I remember doing that same thing and felt amazing when I conquered it, SMiling like whoaaa!! That is how much power those little things can have over you BUT! you showed that you can Kick it in its butt!! You are going to do soo awesome!! Work it girl
  8. They all said it, and just wanna say Grats from the other side! You'll do great
  9. I weigh myself once a day in the morning. I don't get discouraged by the fluctuations also, but it helps to keep me on track. If i see it goin up more then my liking, I kick back into gear.. also.. it motivates me!
  10. To get anything more in depth, I believe you have to see a nutritionist. I still have not seen one yet, sigh..But I go next week finally.. YAY! for groupon!

  15. Hiya and welcome!! Good luck on your own journey! Best thing ever in my opinion. *hugs*!
  16. What a great article! I really needed to read this as well. I am one that didn't get to much information being banded. Ya, I got a little booklet which stated my post op which was all fine and dandy, but nothing in depth. I sadly learned most from LBT, which I couldn't be more thankful for. I am one of those, ( which I hate ) that doesn't ask to many questions.. A person that squeeks is a person that gets greased? ( the saying goes something like that ) lol.. Words of wisdom thank you so much!
  17. ya, the struggle int he beginning happens to us all.. you will feel better soon!! and it's natural to feel hungry in the beginning.
  18. wow that sounds yummy!
  19. Hey there shanae! You definitely came to the right place! Ask away anything that concerns you and I am sure many here and answer your questions. Shoot me a PM anytime! I am a pretty new bandster. I was banded Oct 22nd 12. I could have not made a better choice for myself. There has been up's and downs, nothing physical, but emotionally. For me that has been the hardest thing to conquer, to accept, I need to do this to free myself from my prison of being an obese girl. It has been actually pretty easy, it is just hard when my mind wants this and that, but that is the key point we have to change. It is a lifestyle change for sure and you have to really WANT to cure yourself. Anything else you'd like to talk about, I'm here.. Good luck with your decision and I hope you find all the answers you need. Do it for you. **hugs*!
  20. damn those scammers lol..they are freakin EVERYWHERE!
  21. I get hiccups now, but I have always had the siighh
  22. Well it is said that if you get hiccups after you eat, it is a soft stop to let you know, it's time to stop. I however got these hiccups after I got my 3rd fill. I was hiccuping before I even ate anything lol.. but it has subsided a bit now, but I do get them before and after I eat. Weird right?
  23. Amazing Lee.. I can't imagine the freedom you feel now! You look great! and 50? No way!! Thanks for being such a support to everyone! It is so appreciated beyond words.
  24. hehe Thanks Lee! and Good morning! I'm glad I waited, I didn't want to be to rash into something I didn't feel was right. I am a 4E as well, glad I got to know a little about my feet and yes, that is a store for assisted living residents. lol I'll keep looking until I find the right shoe for me. Going to ask about the adrenaline. Thanks so much for your help.. and never worry about preaching, I love to hear details and passionate people! I'll keep ya posted!
