I Feel Addicted....

To thinking about lap band. I wish I could occupy my mind with something else, but for the most part I'm hooked. When working, whn Ivey out of breath, I just think about being banded. Everything banded.... All the time. I need a distraction.

I feel the same way too....I think it's pretty hard NOT to think about the band, especially for those of us who are not yet at goal, and who have tried every other weight loss method in the past. Subconsciously, I'm always asking myself "is this the thing that will help me actually reach my goal this time?" I am considering joining a bowling league or finding another hobby as a distraction. Good luck finding your distraction, just make sure it's a healthy one! ;-)

Sometimes its a good distraction too. Lol this morning I made a chocolate chip pancake.... And the whole time I kept hearing in my head, you could be doing so much better than this. And I just told myself that I'm not going to buy anymore pancake mix, and I won't be eating any while being banded.

Omg I am the same way! I, too, tell people all the time "I'm sorry if you are sick of hearing about it" but I am very lucky to have a support system that is very nice about listening to me ramble on about it. And I am also changing the foods we buy that will be lap-band and family friendly. I wish you luck finding a distraction and on your upcoming surgery! I am only a month or so away and I am nervous and so excited
