so i had my sleep study last night, turns out I'm a kicker, lol.... i can't believe my surgery is almost here, so nervous, anxious & restless.... started my pre-op diet today, so far so good....

thank u for your responses.... i never had a problem before & honestly didn't know anything about thyroid issues.... I'm more at ease now.... just can't wait to see my pcp so that i can start my journey :-)

so my Dr has changed my surgery date to the 30th due to my blood work showing a problem with my thyroid :-/ my pcp needs to see me & now I'm worried cuz that could be why i have had weight problems the last few yrs.... does anyone else have thyroid issues?

got my date today, Nov 9th.... so excited, nervous, anxious but i just come on here & everyone is so supportive i find myself feeling qy ease.... good luck to everyone!!!!

so excited yet nervous & doubtful.... my husband is supportive but i catch him in his old habits.... i was sad & he buys me Starbucks, i've asked him to lets come up with new ways to make me feel better, like a back rub or just a good ol fashion "well job done".... does anyone else have this happen, rewarded with food?

so, i finally got approval & was given a diet plan, but it's not all liquid, i can eat, but have to watch what i eat, i was also told i would need to lose 5-10 lbs, I'm kinda bummed cuz i wanted to do the liquids so i could get a sense of what to expect. I'll only be on liquids 2 days before surgery then of course phase 1 & 2 after surgery.... i know, I'm a nut, lol.... did anyone else not have to do the pre op liquids?

i too just got approval from my insurance :-) i need my egd & abdominal & blood work.... was told as soon as i got clearance i would be given a date.... so many wild emotions, but at the end of it all, i know this is right.... good luck on your new journey....

finally got my approval after 3 long weeks, so much is going through my mind.... now just need two more test done & will set the date!

thank u everyone for your input.... great advice & i took it all in & realized i did the same thing with a procedure i needed & then didn't want to do it & found every excuse to get out of it but once it was done, was so much better, lol, once again thank u.... much better now :-)

as i play the waiting game in insurance approval, I'm beginning to second guess myself.... did anyone else feel this way? :-/ what if? or maybe one more time to do it on my own.... stuff like that?
