  3. Just don't know what I'm meant to be eating , the nurse is saying I'm eating all the easy foods and that I'm not trying but hey I thought I paid my money for advice not to be critisized and I am hungry all the time and not losing weight

  5. Hi is there any mentors near Glasgow? I have been banded for 3 months and I'm struggling.
  6. I found the hospital group to be ok once you haveyour operation it's as though they get you out the door as quick as possible but the hospital group phone you a few days later and then some one else will call for your first fill and that's when you get to speak to the nutritionist at the clinic but you can phone them and ask asana questions as you need (which I did several times).
  7. Hi good luck hope all goes well I've not lost much weight over the past 2 weeks as I don't have much restriction yet I'm hoping when I get my next fill (which is next week) this will help with my portion size and I'm also starting back the gym this week. Let us know how you get on
  8. Hi I'm getting my first fill tomorrow so looking forward to it it's been 4 weeks since my op and I'm starting to feel really hungry How many fills did you have before you felt any restriction?
  9. Off for my first fill tomorrow quite excited cos I'm starting to get really hungry
  10. Thanks for all the advice. I have spoken to the nurse today who has advised me not to go to gym for 6 weeks so my body can have time to heal so I will just have to have some patience
  11. Help Most times when I eat I get a pain in my back is this normal or should I speak to my nurse its been two and a half weeks since my op.

  13. Good luck you can do it. It's hard enough giving up smoking and it will be even harder losing weight and giving up smoking. I stopped smoking 12 years ago and have never looked back I now hate it and think its disgusting I just wish I could do the same with food the only problem with that is you need food to survive. Best wishes I've got my fingers crossed for you
  14. Can anyone advise when I can go back to the gym I had my surgery 17 days ago and need something to focus on.
  15. No I try and stay away from the milky ways
  16. Hi all thanks for the advice I have not went completely off the rails I am on mushy food for the next two weeks I'm sure I'm not the only one finding it tough and obviously it just takes a bit of time to adjust to this new way of eating I have paid a lot of money for this band so I am not going to fail I am just finding it hard I suppose I thought I just wouldn't feel as hungry and all my cravings would disappear which I know realistically that's not going to happen I do drink flavoured water and juice most of the day and my first fill is in two weeks time and I will have a word with the dietician also that day so that she can give me the correct advice so that I am not eating the wrong things. Thanks again
