  2. I'm so excited! I hit ONEDERLAND this morning. I can't believe it. I know I haven't seen a 1 at the beginning if my weight in at least 11 years!!!! I love my band. Best best best thing I have ever done for myself. Thank you everyone for the support you give on here it really helps!!!
  3. Checking in at.....199.7!!!!!! Down 3.4 this week to finally get to ONEDERLAND!!! So excited I know I haven't seen a one on the scale for at least 11 years.
  4. I love that prediction. It was so exciting to see it under 200 lbs but I'm still not there but I'm close it totally motivates me. I'm glad to know someone was keeping track to see how accurate it is. Congrats in your hard work and commitment.
  5. I did start with c25k about 4 mo after surgery. I am doing that and insanity. I made it to about week 4 or 5 of C25k and decided to go for it. I tried running 3 miles without stopping and could do it. It wasn't quick but I did it.
  6. Good for you!! It is totally going to help you be more prepared for surgery and after. Keep going even when it gets tough and you will see results too. If you haven't taken a before picture you should. You'll be surprised how much your body will change.
  7. HOT DAYUM!!! You look great!!!! Congrats and thanks for the inspiration!
  8. Before I started this journey I couldn't run ONE mile without stopping and feeling like my heart was about to explode. This morning I ran 3.25 miles without stopping and even felt like I could go further. I averaged a 10:55 min mile which excites me even though its still pretty slow. The frustrating part is I get three different numbers for calories burned. The heart rate monitor says 400, the my fitness pal app says 480 and mapmyrun says 720???? I decided to go conservative in my journaling so I don't accidentally over eat....but WTH?!! The difference is nuts.
  9. I started walking around the block right away because it helped me with the gas pains. I didn't start anything rigorous till 6 weeks out but would walk for 30 min 4 times a week from week 2.
  10. Wow!!! That's AWESOME!!! Congratulations!
  11. Checking in...203.1 only a 0.6 loss but I was up 4.4 after the Super Bowl party so I'm happy to be down that and then some in 5 days.
  12. Wow!!! Congrats! That's incredible!

  16. 1. I workout...start with smaller attainable goals. I started out by walking for 30 minutes 4 days a week. Then started a workout program with my xbox kinect (EA Sports Active 2), still four days a week with some alternating walking. Once I was cleared for abdominal exercises I decided to do a one month program five days a week with the UFC Fitness Trainer game, (I lost 2.75 inches in my waist during that 30 days <img src='http://www.lapbandta...DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />) NOW I am addicted and workout 6-7 days. I do insanity 4 days and Couch 2 5K two of the other days and on Sundays I either rest or do something fun like Dance Central. 2. I count my calories with My Fitness Pal...goalseeker32 if you wanna add me I didn't get a calorie goal from my dr or NUT so I go by what they tell me to eat to loose 2 lbs a week. Sometimes I am under that (especially now that I have gotten a fill) other days I eat all my exercise calories cause I'm hungry. I stick to the rules, Protein first, then veggies then carbs. 3. I only weigh once a week I do not like the ups and downs that come with daily weigh ins. It discourages and frustrates me. I would rather see 2 lbs at the end of the week than .3 for 7 days. 4. I don't deprive myself of anything I like homemade ranch dressing, and my creamer in my coffee so I use it but I count it. I allow myself small tastes of sweets when they are around because this is a lifestyle change not a diet. The diet mentality got me to needing this surgery so I have to break that thinking. 5. I take measurements monthly so I can see more progress than just on the scale. 6. When I need smaller clothes, I find a good deal and buy them because it helps me to see my progress.
  17. Don't forget that SO MANY things affect out scales. Sore muscles from an intense workout, that time of the month, not having a BM, Don't get discouraged, you are doing things right if you've lost 32 in 9 weeks...could you have boasted that on any previous diet?...stay the course it will come off.
  18. Woo Hoo!! Yay for discovering bones and muscles we couldn't make out before!!
  19. Wow!!! That's incredible :-) I will be singing from the rooftops as well when I get to the place your at. Thank you so much for sharing your success and advice with all of us.
