  1. That does sound delish I'm going to have to try that!
  2. Morning sleevers today is my first milestone I transition to protein shakes and puréed foods today! I feel a lot better today than I had been also considering yesterday was my first day I really got a lot of walking in I went to Sam's club and for those who've been in there know the walk I had. Still a little tightness, but Im ok. Glad I'll be able to try to get more protein in today and move beyond Popsicles
  3. Those are good but have a lot more sugar and a lot less protein than the real Greek yogurts. If its taste I recommend using a sweetner.
  4. Sounds like we are on similar paths scrambled eggs are considered soft foods in my diet book from my provider also
  5. I can start cereal like oatmeal and cream of wheat tomorrow should I be concerned or are we talking about flakes corn flakes raisin brand etc
  6. I have a son who will be 1 on Tuesday. I sent him to my moms for a couple weeks because I knew I wouldn't be able to handle him especially since I can't bend or lift him. I miss my baby though she brings him by daily so I can see him...
  7. Wow no ibuprofen my dr says not right away unless liquid, but in a few months when I can take pills it will be fine.. Things really do vary from practice to practice. Did he say why you couldn't have it?
  8. Today I purchased the Unjury chicken soup it has 21grams protein, and I got premiere protein shakes from SAMs club they have 30 grams. Tomorrow I start purée and full liquids so we shall see how it goes. I can't wait!!!
  9. My Surgeon told me to stay away from fruit yogurts during my pre-op. I was also sleeved on 8/13 but im still on clear liquids to transistion to full liquids next week. When i was on pre-op i got the plain greek yogurt and added sweetner like sweet n low or splenda to it, an it made the taste better. you can also try some extracts that will help with taste some
  10. I am with you I am six days out and still have pain in my incision. Like the other lady said we just had Major Surgery. One thing I will say when the drain was removed it felt a lot better it was a huge relief. Just continue to walk and take you pain medicine. If its still really really bad i would say reach out to your Dr or go to the hospital, better safe than sorry.
  11. I would say call your Dr better safe than sorry. I'm 6 days out and my right side where incision is still very sore. That's the side they pulled the stomach out. Just walk and take pain meds I promise it will get better. My drain was taken out before I left hospital but once your dr removes it that area will feel better. I have heard of some people going home with drains I wouldn't worry much but still ask dr about it...feel better
  12. Did u have a pre op diet or you went in at that weight?
  13. Thank you both!!! I definetly see it will be a matter of trial and error. For my pre-op I did the EAS and the Atkins shakes I did find one new one called Designer Whey. But also everything I have is chocolate and vanilla I need flavor I start full liquids and purée tomorrow
  14. Hello all I just wanted to get an idea of what else is out there that you all me be drinking. I still haven't found a powder protein shake that I like, but i see it is a lot more expensive buying cases of the ready made please help!
  15. Walk walk walk and sip sip sip. My surgery was mon 8/13 and I still have gas pains but walking and burping really helps. Sipping as much as you can releases a lot of gas also. Hope this helps good luck
  16. I absolutely love those and Advantage EAS. I don't like the powder do I stocked up on ready made drinks
  17. Hello all I was an August 13th sleever and each day is getting better for me. I'm finding it really hard to get all my protein in, but I'm making sure I get as much as I can and staying hydrated.
