It doesn't sound normal to me. Strange that you still have your drain 10 days out. When are you do to get it out? I would call him just to be sure. Don't worry they will help you

It may not be a bad idea to call the after hours number and see what they say.

I would say call your Dr better safe than sorry. I'm 6 days out and my right side where incision is still very sore. That's the side they pulled the stomach out. Just walk and take pain meds I promise it will get better. My drain was taken out before I left hospital but once your dr removes it that area will feel better. I have heard of some people going home with drains I wouldn't worry much but still ask dr about it...feel better

Hope everything turns out ok. Keep us updated.

Oh no! Get well soon - keep us posted on what's going on.

Take care!

Today is day 20 out for me I had the same issue at day 7, went by ambulance to the hospital, ended up the drain aggravated the abdominal wall and cause hemmoraging, after a ct and 3 days in the hospital everything was back to normal. I wish you luck and a speedy recovery! Trust your doctor, they are the best !

I find it interesting that every surgeon is so different! I didn't have a drain. I wonder why? Sounds like I didn't miss out though :-)

I hope you are ok! Come back and let us know.

wishing you the best on a speedy recovery:)

wondering how you are doing... I'm glad you went to the hospital because it is NOT normal to have red blood in a drain again 10 days post op! saying a prayer that everything is ok for you! hang in there!

Praying all turns out well for you!!! Stay strong!
