  2. Hi Mark, A change is as good as a holiday as they say. How are you? You are the solitary bloke on this part of the board.:biggrin1: I did my tax this morning. Heaps of fun. Not!!!!! I am going to go for a big long fast walk this arvo. Hi Mez. Susannah
  3. Hi Bron, Call your surgeon's office on Monday and see what they say. I understand that Dr Nottle is a very busy surgeon, so maybe his nurse could give you some advice? Which band do you have? Susannah
  4. Gday, Meanwhile I am finding it interesting how all the Yanks are singing the praises of the "New" AP Band! It has been available in Australia for a while now. It is great to be ahead in something! It doesn't matter which type of band that you have really though. All the bands are very good. What a tool! I got to midday today and thought " I haven't eaten!". The band has taken away that desperate need to eat for me. Susannah
  5. Is there any need for this sarcastic nastiness? Chickie has worked damn hard to get to where she is. I am sure she thought long and hard before being banded, and was informed about the risks etc. What is your motivation for posting here Blah Blah? Is it just to provoke people? People here want to share their banding journey with others, and offer and receive advice and support. If this is your motivation, you will get lots of support here. If you have another motive, you may want to "Buzz off" Queen Bee. Susannah
  6. Welcome to bandland Blah Blah. CBS are world leaders in lap band placement as far as I am concerned. They are second to none in Australia. But hey we are biased!!!!: Susannah
  7. Too bloody right Jacqui! Well said. Susannah
  8. Yep I watched it. When he got emotional I think everyone of us that has been obese and have gone through the pain and stress of it all, were tearing up alongside him. Susannah
  9. Well done!!!! What is your secret of success? Susannah
  10. Hi All, Blah Blah was banded today. Yay. Congrats.:clap2: Insubordination, Thanks for the good wishes. Beena, I would recommend my Surgeon, Mr Gary Crosthwaite. Mark, Good to hear from you. Vegas sounded like a real hoot! Dionne, it is good to get an update from you. You should be proud of your weight loss so far.:clap2: I would recommend Mr Crosthwaite for you also. Bron, Well done with your loss also. I haven't had pain after a fill luckily. I hope it all settles down for you. Jacqui, Now that it is winter are all your fun runs etc on hiatus also? I hear you re constipation. I do all the right things to avoid it, but going can be an ordeal after you have been banded, to the point of tears for me. Just want to wish Meredith and her new husband Joe all the best. She was recently married, and she looked beautiful in the pics. Good on ya luv!!!:biggrin1: As for me, I have been hibernating a bit due to this cold weather. I am well though and on track with it all. Susannah
  11. Hey Blythe, Keep up the good work with the exercise. It will pay off. I like you also do not like to eat much meat, so I eat tofu, tuna, eggs etc. Bronnie, Sixteen kilos lost! Yay.:clap2: Well done. OMG you would not believe the amount of hair I have lost. It has been falling out in clumps for more than two months now. I have lost a signifigant amount. I am lucky that I have lots of thick hair, but it is now very noticeable. I will up my protein, but I have also been taking Biotin tablets. Apparently it can also be caused by a delayed reaction to general anasthetic. Insubordination, I am under a hundred kilos now! Keep up the good fight girls. Susannah
  12. Hey Alex, Good luck with it cookie.:clap2: Susannah
  13. Hi There, I would go to see your doctor to have it checked. I have regular muscle twitching all over my body, but I have Multiple Sclerosis and that is the reason for it. Not saying you have MS, but that any new medical issue should be checked. Susannah
  14. Hi Gibson, I am a 37 year old woman from Australia. Welcome.:biggrin1: Susannah
  15. Hey Breadlady, Love your username! Sorry I accidently voted in your poll, but I am a Feb bandster. I am in Australia. Just forget about my vote. Susannah
  16. Gday, The general rule is that you cant drink fizzy drinks anymore. Don't worry though, you will soon not miss them. I have not had a fizzy drink since the beginning of January and I never even think about it. The body becomes used to not having it. Susannah
  17. How good is it to be back in your old clothes! That is sweet.:clap2: My older brother lives in Brooklyn, in Carroll st. Do you know it? I am in Australia. Susannah
  18. Hi Mark, Stem cell research is very important. It is crucial that this research move forward. For people such as myself who have Multiple Sclerosis it is of a more pressing nature also. Man is there anything about Bush that I don't hate? Nup, can't think of anything. Susannah
  19. Hi Ernie, A white chocolate mocha has 10,000 calories?!! Never knew that. I adore Starbucks too and I often have a skim milk latte or chai.:clap2: Susannah
  20. Gday, Marriage is not really my bag, so I picked neither. I am a non conventional person, so living in sin is okey dokes with me. Having said that, it would be important to be best friends and have that romantic spark also. A combo of the two would be good. Susannah
  21. Hey Carlene, I would love to go to Texas. The people are so warm hearted. I have met a few Texans here, and they left a good impression on me. I really need to take a whole year off work (Yay;)) just to see all the places in America I would like to see. Yeah like I can afford to do that.:biggrin1: Susannah
  22. Hey Lauren, You are appreciated here for being an articulate person who is passionate in her views. I find some of the posters on OH to be of the insipid and passive agressive variety. Anybody noticed that some bandsters can be the meanest and nastiest jerks? I certainly have. Man screw them. Susannah
  23. Hi Judy, I have sent you an email with all the details. Hope everybody else is doing well with their weight loss. I know we are all hibernating now that it it winter. Susannah
  24. Hi Blythe, How young are you? Don't worry too much re serving sizes, you will get the hang of it all. My fill on Wednesday was cancelled due to the Doctor being sick. I am going in tomorrow for a small fill. I reckon I am going to be under 100kgs tomorrow!!!!!!:biggrin1: Yay. My first big milestone. I will soon know anyway if all the hard slog with the exercise is paying off. Susannah
