  1. Hi Judy, I am on day 3 of my liquid diet, so I can understand where you are at. Good luck with it. Susannah
  2. Hi Terry, congrats on your surgery date. I am day3 of my 3 week liquid diet, and going good so far. Take it one day at a time, and remember every marathon starts with little steps. Susannah
  3. Fee and Bronnie, you guys are lucky duckies I guess! I am day 3 and going ok. I eat my bowl of vegies at night plus the shakes. My surgeon said it is also done to shrink the liver, which makes for safer surgery. Ask me next week how I am going! :nervous :biggrin1: Susannah
  4. Thanks for that Wheetsin. I am not a prude by any means, I just find these posts revolting to be honest. Susannah
  5. Well, this is a lapband forum. If people want to post on a pornography forum they are free to. It's fine if people like sex, this is not the place for it though. Susannah
  6. Hi Tammy, I am glad you posted this thread because I am also considering taking an appetite surpressant, but I think maybe a more natural product would be the way to go. I have read that some of the prescribed products may induce panic attacks. I certainly don't want that. Good luck with it all. Susannah
  7. Can I ask why does this website frequently get obscene pornographic posts? Is there not a filter to erase it immediately? I find it revolting. If the title is obviously pornographic I skip it, but that is not always the case. What can be done to fix this? Thanks mods. Susannah
  8. Hi Dori. I am also getting banded on 2/2/07, but as I live in Australia that day will come almost a day before you get it in America. We are ahead in time here.:biggrin1: Good luck with it. Susannah

  10. Gday Bronnie, My surgeon wants me to do Optifast for 3 weeks. I am not sure about Dr Nottle to be honest. I think Fee said she didn't have to do it and she is a patient of Dr Nottle. With any luck you won't have too.:lost1.5lbs: My surgeon is quite strict. He does not make it easy to get this surgery, because he wants you to understand the gravity of it all. I think he is very thorough and ethical. I am sure Dr Nottle is excellant too. I have heard only good stuff about him. Susannah
  11. Thanks Rene. You have just made my day.:biggrin1: Susannah
  12. Hi all, Tracy you may get banded in February. People do cancel at the last minute, so don't stop hoping. Good on ya Wilma and Kelsy. I wish you lots of luck with your banding journey.:biggrin1: Susannah

  14. Thanks gals!:biggrin1: I am thinking of taking reductil only for the three week optifast pre surgery period. I need to use everything in my arsenal to win this war. I just need a bit of help with it on a strictly short term basis. I hope everyone understands. Any updates on how you are all travelling with your banding journeys? We can support each other. Susannah
  15. Hey All, it is summer in Australia so she has probably gone on a holiday somewhere. Susannah
  16. Hi Bronnie, I need your advice. I think that I will take some appetite surpressants to help me during the pre op diet. Do you think I should do it? My GP is away at the moment so I need some advice. Are any of them available over the counter? Everyone else feel free to chime in here if you have any feedback. Thanks so much. Susannah
