  1. Hey, I am a Hungarian Aussie, does that count?????:biggrin1: Susannah
  2. Hi Denmark, Cogratulations on the weight loss.:clap2: Welcome to Lapbandtalk. I am from Australia. Make sure you Danes take care of our Princess Mary! LOL:biggrin1: Susannah
  3. Hey, We are women Laurend. We should just shutup and get back in the kitchen etc.:biggrin1: Susannah
  4. Let me guess. You are an Obesty Help member?!:biggrin1: Susannah

Hi Lapbandit, What is the web address for this animated website? I could certainly use the extra help with the visuals. Susannah
  6. Thank goodness there are intelligent and articulate people out there like Laurend! Susannah
  7. Hello! Bush is not well regarded internationally either to be honest. Susannah
  8. Hi Girlz, How is everybody? I am having the next two days off as I need some "Me" time. All is well in my personal bandland experience. I have been slogging away at the exercise, and it seems to be paying off. I was told to exercise every day, but just wondering if you have to do that? I have dipped my toe into the bizarre world that is online dating, and I can tell you that it is really confronting for me as I am the most insecure person in the world when it comes to meeting and talking to guys. It is really overwhelming to be honest. My sister rekons I shouldn't try to hook up with someone through the net, but where else do you go to meet someone? I am not a club type person, and I don't want to stand in a loud, smoke filled room at a pub. Will keep you all posted. Going in for a fill tomorrow, hopefully it will give me more restriction. Susannah
  9. Sacha Baron Cohen really is a hugely talented man, but this movie is cringe worthy to be honest. I love to laugh and have a great sense of humour, but this movie is so purile and juvenile. SBC is a Jew and so am I, but I can't stomach this. I remember being a scared ten year old child and a man spitting on and verbally abusing my grandfather calling him a "Jewball". I still remember that incident to this day. Susannah
  10. He wasn't just ''Calling people names''. Those words are particularly derogatory and frankly nasty and horrifying to people of African American descent I would imagine. It must be so hard living in a society that is so dominated by one cultural group. It may be valuable to see the world through the eyes of others sometimes. Susannah
  11. Hi, Well you reap what you sow. I will not be shedding any tears over his firing. He really needs to take a look in the mirror, namely he is an ugly old creep. I am sorry but these kind of vicious, nasty comments are not to be tolerated. There is free speech and there is hate speech. I applaud the women for actually having the grace and dignity to meet with this man. Susannah
  12. Meredith, Oy vey! You need some real yiddishche nosh, such as chicken and kneidelach soup stat!:biggrin1: Shoshanna
  13. Hey Christie, Optifast was not too bad for me either. I did a three week pre op course of it in January which was easier because being summer I was not really craving heavy foor etc. Good luck with it. This will be the best decision you have ever made, mark my words. Hi everybody else! Are we all hibernating already pre winter?! I like colder weather because you can take nice hot baths, and put your electric blanket on etc. I am fine. I am going in for a fill next Tuesday and I might ask them to put a slightly larger fill in. I don't feel very restricted with the 2.5mls in my band that I currently have. Oh the elusive sweet spot! Tomorrow is Friday. Yipee! Susannah
  14. Hi Alexandra, Hope you are feeling ok both physically and emotionally. Why don't you wait until the new AP band is released in America? It is thought to be much less likely to slip, and it is also thought to facilitate more weight loss than other bands. I have the AP ( Small). Good on ya!:clap2: Susannah
  15. Hi, Yes I heard about this outrage, What a disgusting swine this man is. He is an absolute disgrace. Rev Sharpton is right in calling for this man to resign. A two week suspension? Pathetic. Susannah
  16. Hi Paul, Welcome! Feel free to chat away here on the chat thread with us. It would be nice to have a male here to discuss banding issues with also. Susannah
  17. Hey Mez, Believe me I didn't want to exercise, but I knew how hard it would be to have missed a few days of it and to have to do it again. It is like starting from scratch again. I hate exercising, but I like losing weight, so I force myself. Susannah
  18. Hey, 396 I accept your apology. Just know that we are all bandsters/future bandsters here just looking for support and advice. I understand that this is the rants and raves section of the board, but I am sure we have many gay and lesbian bandsters on this board. They are discriminated against enough in the wider community, they don't need to log on here and feel demonised also. Susannah
  19. Mate everybody wants to move to our country! Best country in the world bar none! Sorry yanks.:biggrin1: Susannah
  20. Hey All, Meredith good to hear your mum's surgery went well. I remember after I was done and the nurses were trying to get me out of bed to walk the following morning. I was like '' I just want to lay down here and not move and be in a painfree bubble please!'' Just moving ached. I hope your mum will feel better really fast. You guys are keeping your surgeon in a job I reckon! LOL;) Sorry to hear about the horsepills too. Hopefully they will do the trick. I still feel atrocious! I forced myself to exercise tonight reasoning that all the sweating should get the toxins out of my body. I am not a happy camper. Bronnie how are you? Did you have a good easter? Most of the banding girls I met said they were going to have a few little eggies over Easter. You have to have some pleasure in life I guess. Susannah
  21. Hey Meredith, This site is really bad for spammers! It looks like our particular section of the board gets all the porn posts as well! No other forum I belong to has this problem, so I don't know why they can't fix it. I am not going to exercise today because I am just not well enough and it may actually be counter productive. Hope you are keeping nice and roasty toasty warm like I am. My nose is running like Niagra Falls! :biggrin1: Susannah
  22. Hi Leatha, I think you could be right on this. I have found people like that to be in the minority as time goes by. Most people just want to live alongside each other happily. Susannah
  23. Hi, Mine is a no brainer! Susannah is my name. :biggrin1: Susannah
  24. Hi, It is not unusual for people to want to take a break from posting. Our lives get busy sometimes. If it does turn out he has MS there are a number of us on this board, myself included ,that have the disease that can offer a lot of support and advice to him about it. Susannah
  25. Hi All, Meredith I have not been able to sleep. I am so sick. Oh well. Yay about your mum!:clap2: I have decided to stay on soups etc at the moment while my band is tight. That way I am not putting any pressure on my band. Hey Mezza, Big Brother starts again April 22nd! I reckon I am going to watch it as a guilty pleasure. I hope they have a more Interesting, diverse group of people than they had last year.Wishful thinking! Susannah
