Australian Bandsters Chat Thread
Gday, Chickie you really look fantastic. You are the pin up girl for lap banding!:biggrin1: Lisa welcome, how is life in Bundy? Is that sugar cane country? You know I am 36 years old and I have never been to Queensland. I heard that there is going to be a banding convention up there in 2008, so I reckon I will go to the convention and tour around Queensland. I will kill two birds with the proverbial one stone. It is raining buckets here in melbourne today. Yay!!!! Susannah

Who does Number 2 work for?
Gday Babygrl, I work in Early Childhood and am toilet training children regularly. Have you spoken to your son about how he is feeling about the whole process? Maybe something happened that has made him fearful of using the toilet. Bowel control often takes longer to master, but I can understand your frustration Baby. Susannah

Australian Bandsters Chat Thread
Hi All, Welcome Rava! Chat away here with us. Thanks for the advice Chickie. You know you are always welcome.:clap2: OMG I am really learning about my band the hard way this week. Life as I know it with the band has changed forever. I had my first major sliming incident tonight. I ate a sushi handroll. I kept sliming and sliming afterwards. I can't tolerate any kind of rice/crackers anymore it seems. It was a horrible incident because I was traveling home on public transport and my mouth was so full of saliva I thought I would choke. I am never eating rice etc again. No way. I am just going to stick to mushies I think and no solids. One good thing was that I bought some new clothes tonight. I also bought a few items that are a little bit small as an incentive to keep going with the weight loss. I hope we get heaps of new Aussie bandsters posting here. Susannah

Hi, Regarding tightness of the band in the morning, I read somewhere that it might be a good idea to drink a hot drink first to kind of loosen it up. Anybody heard this? TGIF Friday!!!!!! Susannah

VA Tech: What is the world coming to? Are people simply bad at heart?
Gday, It was interesting how Bush rushed to state that there would be no changes to gun control laws. Gee let me see, who bankrolls the Republican Party? Err could it be the NRA? This is not an anti US issue either folks, because I like you critters. Just hate your guns! Susannah

Hey M, I got your pm. Thanks for it. I got home late last night after having dinner with my Israeli friends. So you reckon the restriction won't last? Eating is agony at the moment. Susie

Australian Bandsters Chat Thread
Hi Tara. I am well. I had a fill on Tuesday and I feel really tight. I had so much pain from eating one tiny salada! Agony! I wonder if the restriction will last? I have 4mls in my band now. How are you? Amy? The family? Susannah

Australian Bandsters Chat Thread
Hi All, I wanted to start a new chat thread for bandsters all over Australia. Firstly the Melbourne chat thread now has so many replies that we are getting a lot of horrible spam, and secondly we want bandsters from all over the country to feel they can join in and chat on this thread. Could we post on this new thread now? Susannah

Melbourne Chat Thread!!!!
Hi Tara, It was great meeting you also! We must have another get together soon. How about at one of the restaurants at Chadstone shopping centre? That is pretty easy for me to get to. I wonder when would be a good time for everybody? April or May? I am finding the whole online dating thing to be quite depressing actually. I might give it a rest for a while. My sister doesn't think it is a good place to meet guys, and that it is more likely to happen naturally. Oh well, we will see. Good luck with your weigh in. You have done really well so far to lose as much as you have.:clap2: Bronnie, nice to hear from you stranger!!!!! Great weight loss for you too so far also!:clap2: Mezzie, How is your mum going in bandland???? You are a champ also.:clap2: Susannah

VA Tech: What is the world coming to? Are people simply bad at heart?
Hi, This is so tragic. Gun control anybody? Frankly I understand about the American Constitution, but everybody does not have the right to bear arms/ have a weapon etc. I am sorry they just do not. This is awful. Susannah:confused:

reeces pieces mmmm
Hey Big Thunder, Pretzels are a better choice than the candy I would imagine. I have found that if you pack a little box with a few snacks of fruit/sultanas in it, and carry it with yo, you can have a healthy option on hand for times like this. Keep up the good fight old son!:clap2: Susannah

Welcome back Kotter!:biggrin1: I don't think you should eat pizza so soon after banding either, and I choose to refrain from eating it all together. This forum is not dangerous. We are all adults, and you make the correct decisions or you don't. Susannah

Hi Sunta, This is horrific. I feel so sad for the families of the dead. How and why did the person who comitted this heinous act have a weapon? So sad. Susannah

Pizza??
Hey, Jono and Jenin you took the words right out of my mouth! You should definately not be eating pizza three weeks out. If you must have a slice, wait until you have lost most of your weight and then and only then have it as an occasional treat. Susannah
