  1. Congratulations! It is a great feeling
  2. Most Drs will tell you first 6wks are for healing. As long as you're sticking to your Drs orders you'll be fine. Your body is doing a lot of adjusting. Your surgeon is now your partner in this journey and you need to have a relationship with them where you can discuss anything. Don't be afraid. It is wise to journal everything you put in your mouth now, so if you have a problem, the Dr can figure out where it is, instead of guessing. Good luck
  3. I had to stay overnight b/c surgery was late in the day, but they gave me all the ice chips I wanted and few hours after surgery anything I wanted to drink. Wishing you a speedy recovery and great success!
  4. Good luck & keep us posted!
  5. Truly words of wisdom. Happy Friday to you too and a great weekend! Tell the kids I said hello
  6. I don't really crave anything, but sometimes I might get hungry between meals and at those times I have key lime greek yogurt with crushed pecans (8) mixed in, omgosh it is so good. It really taste like I'm eating something sinful, but its not.
  7. I was told by Drs office that insurance co. have 30 days by law, but I heard from my ins. 1wk after paperwork was in. I have Aetna.
  8. I agree with your carb addiction recovery. I know if I was to eat unhealthy carbs it would be all over with. So I choose to avoid them. Hello my name is Maddysgram and I am a carb-a-holic!
  9. Kekeboo is correct. Too much protein can cause kidney stones.
  10. Great study! Thank you for sharing
  11. Loved viewing your made up profile. Others have gotten PM from Lissa22, now lissa500, does the number show how many times you've asked for someone to email you, including myself? Inquiring minds want to know.
  12. WOW!!! You look wonderful, congratulations!
  13. I can't help with your question, but just wanted to say how sorry I am. I'd like to think that if I had my band for 2yrs and lost all that weight, that I would be able to stick to LB rules on eating, but until I'm in this spot, who knows. Best of luck!
  14. You all meanie pants!! A stranger needed a BFF, ain't that what we're here for? cg, I telling grammy you being a stupadhead, meanie pants and she'll slap the crap out of you.
  15. This was on The Today show and now their afraid that the weight of ice will bring the building down. That's jusf too freaking cold!!! A freeze in 67 bought me to Florida.lol

  17. Lead him to LBT.com we'll tell him how easy it is.lol
  18. Must be working, look how skinny you are!
  19. I had the 6mth supervised diet and at first I was disappointed, but looking back it was a blessing. There's a lot to learn about the band, a lot thats sometimes not covered in seminars and sometimes too much too fast and you forget. But after 7mths of being on these boards everyday gave me the best education. Even ppl not doing well can teach you something. The time goes by really quick, so take advantage of it. Best wishes!
  20. The perks of owning a band.lol
  21. Stress has always struck my stomach my whole life and now my band takes part in it too.lol. I have read that a lot of ppl feel stress in their bands.
  22. Congratulations! Follow your Drs orders and you will be sooooo happy.
  23. Oh you guys are so distrusting! Think I'll send my bank acct # if you don't want money. He's a lawyer for heavens sake, if you cant trust him, who can you trust. btw I havd some property in S Florida Im trying to sell
  24. There's probably a few reasons Dr is trying to pursuade you against LBS one being money and another is time, which breaks down to money also. They make more money on other WLS, plus there's little after care . LB patients need to see the Dr for fills and check ups once a month. Plus, yes, a lot of patients (not all) fail from non compliance. BTW the fail with other WLS too b/c of the same reason. You don't change your lifestyle, you are not going to do well with any WLS. If you are serious about LBS and have done your research, I would suggest you find a different Dr who will support what they are doing. There's plenty of them out there. Whatever you chose I wish you the best! PS as far as the lady who is skinnh and Dr can't access port, she must have a flipped port or an incompetent Dr. Find a different seminar and read post here. Good Luck!
