  1. Wishing you the best! Keep us posted.
  2. Egg whites a lot of protein & low cal, tuna with chopped egg whites. Hamburger patty, steam shrimp, steak, lots of chicken. If I'm on the run and need something quick I will grab a Cliff Protein bar at 20 grs. Between meals if I need a snack, greek key lime yogurt, ff cottage cheese . I really don't have a problem with getting protein in, but it does take planning.
  3. I'll be telling my friends, I knew her when..... lol
  4. No one really knows when their numbers up and its terrible to live with "what if's" or " I should haves". This is very sad and I pray they find the ppl who did this to him. But he left a great lesson to all, smile and be polite to strangers in the grocery stores, passing by ,helping you. Hug your family, friends and coworkers and tell them you care. You can never wear out "I love you", "have a good day", "thank you" or "I'm sorry". ((((((((Floridays))))))) Thank you for reminding us about whats important!
  5. Thanks Alex for always taking care of our tech problems! I really enjoy LBT.com.
  6. So true! You a wise woman! The darkest hour means dawn is just in sight Have a good week!
  7. Something guys don't know about PMS, this is the time women have the guts to say whats been on their minds all month. Right ladies? lol Just wait until they get to menopause!!!!! I laugh, I cry, its hot, its cold all month long. RUN FOR THE HILLS! You're a good sport Terry, glad to have you with us on LBT.com
  8. I'll testify to that! lol I'm just friends with you here and I know when your period is.lol Another week isn't it? Yikes xoxoxoxoxox
  9. LOL, 10 crackers a whole lot better then a whole sleeve of them. I'm even afraid now to touch them. Good for you!
  10. Sometimes when I want a little treat I have GoLean Crunch (dry)1c is 190 cal, but it has 9gr of protein. I usually am happy with 1/2 c and eat it right out of measuring cup.
  11. So sorry! Thoughts & prayers everything will work out. Stress, which obviously you have, can tighten your band up.
  12. I never came on here before b/c I thought it was for ppl at goal. Think I have enough post.lol
  13. Most Drs don't want you using laxatives b/c of cramping, usually its just a stool softener or fiber pills. Call your Dr and asked them what they would recommend. Wondering why Drs don't cover this in their post op instructions?lol
  14. Love you too girlfriend! To myself: I know destynee saying she loves me makes me all warm and fuzzy inside, but you don't need food to seal that deal. Glow in the warm and fuzzy all by itself!
  15. Happy, sad, bored, mad, nervous, upset, excited, you name the emotion, I ate through it. Hello 274 lbs. I just recently had the news that I needed surgery. My first thought, I want a cheeseburger with everything on it, why not, I deserved it. I should get a treat for having to go through this. Just one won't hurt, just this once etc.... Boy can our minds work it all out. What I did say to myself was "shut the hell up", no you don't deserve it, I deserve health. Things happen, deal with it. No, one won't hurt now, but what about next time and the time after that and the time after that (you get the picture). I'm in control here, not you emotions, so shut the hell up!!!! I can tell myself off good.lol What happen was I stuck to my Drs plan and what I got in return was Pride, surprised me, when it came to myself I never had that before. And I liked it! I like it A LOT! So the next time my brain tells me what I deserve and need. I'll be ready ! I need my health, I need pride in myself, I need to listen to my stomach, not my emotions. It's such a good feeling! A psychologist might think talking to myself might be weird, but it works for me. I wish everyone success with telling their emotions to "shut the hell up". You make a mistake, don't let your emotions say anything, it was a mistake, learn from it and move on. There is always going to be stress in our lives
  16. PS. I would try to get appt on a Friday, in case your fill is too tight and you need a slight unfill. You don"t want to have to go through this whole thing again.
  17. How much of a noticed did you give the principal? Why did you make it on a "Professional Development" day? I think I would try to reschedule 2wks out so plenty of notice, make sure there were no special do not miss days. I agree with not causing reasons for the principal to make your life any more miserable. That way, there is no reason you shouldn't get it. I agree also, you do not have to tell anyone whats going on!!!! I'm just afraid if Dr writes a note, they might figure out it was a non-emergency. Good Luck!
  18. LMAO!! They don"t tell you about constipation and with some like me diarrhea (TMI). I thank everyone here every chance I get and I now call them "My LB Family".
  19. We're all in this together. I just had my 2nd fill so now at 4.5cc in 10cc band. My Dr says on average it takes between 4.5-7cc to have restriction, but some need no fills and others need more than 7cc, but on average. So far it's too early to tell if I have restriction. Just had another surgery recently and with that swelling and band fill, not sure which is causing the not really ready to eat feeling. Give me a week and I'll report back.lol
  20. Lissa500 tried that too. I pmed back and said give me more info about yourself , profile has nothing. They PMed back and said "thanks, nice try"
  21. Congratulations fellow bandster!
  22. I spent 7mths here before surgery and felt the same way. Matter of fact, you get more info here than most meetings. Where'd I learn about "bandster hell", here. Gas pains, stomach noises, everything, here.
  23. The previous posters are right about lifestyle change, but how many times have we all heard that before. There are those who do manage to do that and I pray you are one of them. Sorry about your disappointment, things will workout, they always do. I think it would still be good for you to hang out here for support on your weight loss journey. There's still a lot of good advice and great idea's.
  24. What your doing is great! I did the same thing before hand and I really beieve it gave me a head start. Sugar/carb cravings gone before surgery, no cravings for carbonation. I drink decaf chai tea now & love it. You are going to do great! Best wishes
