  1. I will eat turkey and some veggies. I am making a low carb crust less pumpkin pe and hope it tastes good. I am not much of a cook ????
  2. One scrambled egg is enough for me! I only had one episode of vomiting and that was in the middle if the night and it was clearly the food I had had as a snack! I do get nauseous when I go too long without food or when I have take one bite too much. I still don't feel hunger and have to eat on a schedule . But I still feel this was the best thing I have ever done!!
  3. I would guess your mom is fearful. I know if my Mom was still alive she would have been supportive but I know she would have been fearful that something bad would happen. Your Mom is going with you and that speaks volumes!! Thank her for being by your side to start your journey ! Tell her you love get and that you know she is worried but that there is a greater chance of your dying early from being obese than anything going wrong with your surgery! Keep us updated
  4. 5'4/female 57 yrs old Stating weight was 243 (highest wt was about 250). Current weight 196 I am thrilled!!
  5. I was about the same as you at one month. 10 weeks out and am now about 650 to 700 a day. Looks like you are about right but we all need to try to follow our doc and nuts guidelines!! Slow and easy
  6. First pic was in April 12 at Disney, wt was approx 250. Second pic is current at 196! Surgery was 9/10/12.
  7. I use sf mints and I carry those scope mini One time use tooth brushes! They are very helpful to use during the work day. I will confess that I use each one twice and store in a sip top Baggie in between use lol!!
  8. You folks are amazing! Guess I was a big baby... I took 4 weeks off and glad I did. Luckily I had a lot of sick time banked so it was not a financial burden. Please just get as much rest as you are able!!
  9. I swore I wouldn't need the pain meds but the doc insisted I take the script home just in case, he was soooo right! I thought I could handle it but quickly realized I needed the meds to rest!! When I had my gall bladder out years ago I didn't need any pain meds but this time I was grateful I had them!! Tylenol just didn't cut the discomfort at all. Feel better soon!!
  10. If you are on MFP app you can look at others food choices which is a great help. You can download the app if you have a smart phone or go to the web site to join!! Has been great in affording me with other food ideas!!
  11. sugar free Popsicles helped me tremendously!!!! Water felt like it got stuck but the Popsicles and icy cold watered down apple juice did the trick
  12. I am 10 weeks out on Monday and "my dent" is shrinking as I lose the weight! As for the discomfort, the heating pad was my BFF, helped with the gas pain and the stomach muscle discomfort. Glad you called the doc though, that is what they are there for!! Congrats

  15. Seems I may have hit my first stall ;( I know that my problem is probably that I am still struggling with getting all my fluid in. I am going to drown myself with fluids and commit to getting A minimum 64 oz in !!!
