Yea I need a little oil for my ankles. Using the treadmill seems to be irritating them! Any ideas in how to better support my ankles while exercising? Also any thoughtson good workout shoes??- Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call
I have finally moved the scale and hit the 60 lbs lost mark! Hitting the gym consistently and upping the speed and incline on the treadmill seems to have helped!! Anyone who says surgery was taking the easy way out is going to get floored!!! LOL- My fitness pal
Ibehere10 on MFP , feel free- Surgiversary! 120 lbs lost! Pic update...
Congrats! You are beautiful and glowing!!- A thread for people who dont argue, name call, dictate or generally just be nasty.
Hi Dmixon, I have one bad knee but after surgery and losing 58 lbs so far my knee doesn't hurt much anymore! I am doing treadmill at 3 miles an hour and doing two miles in 49 minutes a min of three times a week, knee is holding up great! 57 years old and am hopeful to avoid any more major health issues!! Welcome- Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call
Brandy wine, I agree, it is nice that so many people are commenting positively on my loss. Best thing I have ever done besides having my daughter!! ????- A thread for people who dont argue, name call, dictate or generally just be nasty.
Nicolanz, I hope you can figure out a way to get to the gym so you have time for yourself. My daughter is raised and has a family of her own so I am fortunate that I can go to the gym as often as I like. I have found that going to workout is not only good for my body but my mind and spirit as well. Who would have ever thought I would enjoy going to the gym??? Lol beyond my wildest dreams!!- A thread for people who dont argue, name call, dictate or generally just be nasty.
I am in!!!- Greys Anatomy!
Thanks for the laughs while reading this thread!! You guys are the best!!- Scared this surgery wont work for me!
All I know is that once I started with soft foods I knew the restriction is there. If I take one bit too many the sleeve screams at me! I am a little over four months out and have lost 58 lbs, never been happier and have not felt this good in 15 years or so!! Good luck and welcome!- Things i will want or need at hospital & at home first couple of days
I took loose nightgowns so I didn't have the waist band hitting the incisions!- Slow loser? Worried about being a slow loser? Why being a slow loser is pretty awesome
What a great way to look at this sassafras!! I was feeling a little blue just now because I am stuck at 185! But I am two lbs short of a 60 lb loss in 4 months so life is good! I will certainly be trying to pick ups 50 lb bag of dog food as a reminder of just what I have lost!!! Thanks- Who did you tell?
At first I only told my SO and a cousin who had gastric bypass years ago. I thought about keeping it from everyone else but the closer I got to the date I felt it was silly not to tell so I told my daughter and her husband. I then told people at work as several had already had the wls. I found all to be supportive. I am sure a couple of the caddy ones had negative things to say, behind my back of course( no guts) but I was Glaxo told everyone. This way I can be upfront and not have to make a story up. I know not everyone is fortunate to have the support I have had and that makes me sad.- 5 days postop band to sleeve and have a few questions...
I too was told to use gummies! I got peach flavored and they are like candy!! Lol the gummie b complex are awful though , have to get something different!!- Information Gathering...
Yes I would!!- Sleeve Vs Roux N Y...the Race Is On!
Congrats to you both!!!- 1 week out tomorrow and SO hungry!
Guess I was lucky, I was never hungry in the beginning and had to eat on a schedule . I still don't feel hunger but get a nauseous feeling and then know I need to eat!!- TGIF NSV
Great event!!- Doubting & super worried
I think many of us had the same concerns to sort through. You have 4 months to settle your fears. A I can say is I know for me this was the best decision I ever made. 4 months out, down 58 lbs and have never felt better!!- 15 Months Post Op Progression
That is great!! Wonderful transformation!! - Surgery in the morning!
