  1. Warm fluids or icy cold worked for me. Still have trouble with room temp Water, just feels like it gets stuck. Sounds crazy and I don't understand it so I avoid room temp fluids. Funny thing is that pre surgery I only stand room temp water!!!
  2. I choked up blood clots post surgery for about two weeks. They told me it happens to some people and was nothing to get upset about. But these were clots not flowing blood, that would have freaked me out!!
  3. Put on 13 lbs from the fluids they pumped into me for the surgery. That was gone in about 8 or 9 days. Have list a total of about 43 lbs but as someone else said I am trying to stay away from the scale!! I am down three pant sizes which I am thrilled about . Surgery was 9/10. Hang in you will do great!!
  4. I put on 13 lbs from the fluids they pumped into me at surgery and the next 24 hours. I was freaked too but am down over 40 lbs at 8 weeks out!! Just stick to the food plan and you will see the lbs and inches disappear!!!!!!
  5. I have already gone down a size at 8 weeks out! None of my shoes fit so I had to go buy new.
  6. I am so sorry that some of you are going through this. I expected my honey to start to sabotage but he did not and has not as of yet. He seems thrilled with my progress and supports me in every way. I wish all of you had this support.
  7. I am 8 weeks out and get about 700 calories in.
  8. For the liquid hydrocodone I would have a sf Popsicle right with me , down the meds then quick put the Popsicle in my mouth, helped get that awful taste masked. Sorry you are having such troubles, feel better soon
  9. A friend took my crazy Bichon for a few days so I could focus on me!! He loves to go to Uncle Chris's house as he has a crazy Beagle and they love each other!it is great to have such a good friend!!
  10. I had some mild discomfort. I took the pain meds they sent me home with especially at night. The most pain was getting out of bed or getting out of a chair. It was tolerable and well worth having since I am on the road to healt!!
  11. Congrats!! It is a great feeling!!!!!
  12. Thanks Amazon and Jennifer! I lost the most in the first three weeks or so. I know that some of that was from the 13 lbs of Water I put on due to all the fluids they pumped into me during surgery and the next 24 hours, lol. I have lost steady and have not yet suffered any stalls. Going to the gym three times a week and using my fitness pal app on my phone has also helped!! Where are you at in your journey?
  13. Thanks, Gloriann!! I am very happy with my progress thus far and love this supportive forum!!!!
  14. Day 5 was the turn around day for me in the preop liquid diet! From there on I had little to no hunger, felt good and had energy. Constant hydration was a key for me, anytime I even woke up I grabbed the Water bottle and drank!! You got this! Best wishes in your journey!!
  15. 8 weeks out tomorrow and am now 198.2lbs!! Started at 243 but highest weight was around 250 I think. I can't believe how much healthier I feel already, best I have felt in many years!!
