  1. Way to go, that is an amazing feat in such a short amount of time. Congrats!
  2. Wow! This sounds jut like my story! PCP would not recommend it. She is an overweight woman who preaches 'fat acceptabce'. She basically told me I was not to be fat and would likely remain that way even after surgery. I had surgery in Mexico 4 weeks ago. I have not seen that PCP since and really don't plan to. I'm switching insurance at the end I the year and hope I have no reason to be seen by her before that happens. I am retiring to MX for a 30 month follow up visit. I asked around here for PCP recommendations in my area. I know there are other VSt folks that live near me, including one user who is pretty far out and at goal. He totally blew me off! So, as much as I'd love to find a Dr who is experienced in VSG after care, I guess I'll just hope I get lucky with whoever Kaiser assigns me to next year. I would look for a new doc if I were you. It sounds like yours isn't even filial with VSG if she is telling you your "pouch can stretch".
  3. I have Mirena and have been happy with it.
  4. I'm 4 weeks out and can easily eat the following (not at once!) 1/2 cup pudding 1/2 or more of creamy Soup 1/4 cup cottage cheese or ricotta I drink 12-16oz Protein shakes 1 scrambled egg w/ cheese and salsa All of these foods take about 20 min to consume. I am not onto solid foods yet so that may be shocking once I get there. For now I'm happy with the quantities I can have.
  5. OTR, do you think chia seeds are safe for a new (4 weeks out) sleeve? I am visualizing tiny seeds getting caught in my staple line and expanding...
  6. Wow, I'm the opposite as well. I can drink a 16oz shake in 15 minutes but it takes 4 hrs to finish 20oz of plain water.
  7. I'm 3 weeks out have not vomitted. I'm eating puréed foods, creamy soup, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. If solids aren't agreeing with you, maybe regress to the last foods that sat well?
  8. Oh boy, i have lots if little ones on my liat, but these are the majore one that I will Use as rewards: Hike to the bottom of the grand canyon Scuba dive / snorkel Go to natural hot springs with my friends Join Big brother & Sisters Nd volunteer with children. I've wanted to do this for so long but haven't felt like a good role model due to my weight
  9. I'm eating plain low fat CC as I write this. I'm loving it! I'm in week 3 PO and tired of sweet stuff. The last thing I want is to sweeten my CC. Try some black pepper or salsa if you're far enough out.
  10. I liked the unflavored Unjury & Syntax Nectar brands. They tasted fine mixed with juice or broth. I did notice a slight change in texture but not taste. I was allowed to mix Unjury flavored protein with water during clear phase. I like the strawberry mixed with water and a squeeze of fresh lemon- strawberry lemonade
  11. Wow! sorry this happened to you, but it is very interesting. I was sleeved by Dr Aceves last month and can assure you that you are in good hands. The aftercare I have received from his office is phenomenal! They respond so promptly to all of my questions and concerns. I believe he (and his staff) are the best money can buy. I agree with OTR, it would be great to hear follow up from you in the future. Thank you so much for sharing this info with us!

    Haha, awesome.
  13. Oh goodness my post was deleted! I apologize if anyone found that offensive.
  14. Quote removed by *susan* due to referencing members of this forum. I noticed a spelling error in my post. Does that mean I'm kicked off this thread?
  15. This is my first VST challenge, I was sleeved 8/31. Today I weigh 205 and I hope to be at 175 by 1/1. I have some activity goal which should help me get there: I want to be able to run 2 miles straight by then. I also want to be working with a trainer on a regular basis. Let's DO THIS!!!!!
  16. For me, the weight is coming off the places it last appeared: face, neck, shoulders and I finally see some shrinking of my upper belly roll. It used to roll over the waist of my pants and was starting to cover my belly button. It's not flat yet but is much better. I hate that roll! Be gone with you!
  17. Kind of off topic, but I like your hair Thanks! It's grown out a bit since this pic.
  18. My incisions (except the drain) are about half the size of yours. My placement was pretty similar. What causes the huge bruise on the lower section? That wasn't visible on me until post op day 4.
  19. That sounds like counties here in the State of Oregon. We've released about that many in recent months due to overcrowding and budget cuts. No need to worry.
  20. I've been meaning to update mine, thanks for the reminder! There are really no profiles when using the phone app, which is how I access 99% of the time.
  21. What Oregon sleevers group are you referring to? I would like to join, I am in Portland.
