  2. Haha, I know what you do after blazing thru all of your entertainment: you come to VST and read every thread! at least that's what I did:) I took it real slow with the eating, 3 weeks of clears! I didn't solids until week 5. I was fine with that, I too enjoyed shakes and yogurt. At 3 months post op I can eat anything pretty much. Glad you're doing we'll feel free to contact me w/ any questions!
  3. Hello and welcome! I'm in Portland and m now 3 months post op. I had surgery in Mexico since I was self pay. I'm feeling great but understand what you mean about needing support. This site is a great resource for sharing ideas and experiences. you'll have no trouble finding folks who understand exactly what you're going through. When was your surgery? How are you getting along?

  5. That's for sharing, I'll try to pick up that shave cream as a stocking stuffer for my dude. This was in his stocking last year and turned out to be a big hit: http://freshballs.com I think any man would appreciate this products (wives too!)
  6. I highly suggest that you introduce yourself to the instructor and ask for help adjusting the seat & bike. You'll save yourself unnecessary pain this way. Your crotch will hurt the first time, but it's worth it. I'm going to Spinning tonight, I'll be thinking of you Have fun!
  7. I do really well with tuna, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt and soy milk. These are my grab & go staples. When I'm cooking dinner for myself it's usually fish, chicken sausage or chicken breast.
  8. That was my starting BMI and I had no co-morbidities.

  10. I'm the opposite. Shaving has always resulted in itchy bumps for me. I wish shaving gave the same results, I'd save a lot of time & money!

  12. I'm having to go more often these days, like every 4 weeks. I swear its from the Biotin! I'm getting hairy, hopefully on my head as well! The hair is way more sparse and fine when it does grow in.

  14. Nessa, you just have to suck it up! They have seen worse, trust me. Try to find a places that is highly recommended, either by your friends or in Yelp, etc. a professional will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, especially if you mention it's your first time. Once you you won't regret it and you'll never go back to shaving!

  16. Forgot to mention my size: started at 20 in pants / XXl tops. Currently 16 pants / L tops. I wish this belly would beat it!
  17. I'm 5'5" an started out at 225. I'm nearly 3 months out and have lost about 40 lbs. I weighed in at 185 today. I hope to get down to about 140.

  19. I agree. I am about as far out from surgery as you are. I feel very normal. This hasn't impacted my social life as much as I expected and I'm glad!
  20. Are you tracking your food? Are you on my fitness pal? I suspect that the kinds of foods you're eating are related to your rte of weight loss. Tracking keeps me accountable.
  21. Yes, I had surgery 8/31. Down 40 lbs now and feeling great!
