  1. greyhounder...how goes psy. eval.???? It's just after midnight and I'm ready to hear it went fine!!! You probly aren't even scheduled until well into daylight, but I'm rootin for you now!!!:cheer2: At my psy. eval. we didn't even talk about the surgery--just my family--my past--what are things I like about me--and things I don't like about me--and very little about food, band, etc....
  2. Tips To Help Obese, You Say? Removable....showerhead.....!!! The Monistat Chaffing Gel Works Wonders For Pannus Also... I've Never Really Had What I Think Is Chaffing, but Some Issues Non The Less... Try It You'll Like It I'm Sure...it Takes Such A Tiny Bit... It Seems To "breath" Better Than Even Dove, In My Opinion! I'm A Dove Girl Too....love Their New Campaign!
  3. OK I have to ask....what is geocaching?? And about the diet thing....I was told on liquid diet you can process tuna and chicken with broth and Soups etc...as long as they can run off of a spoon...they add good Protein too. FYI--Kat817 seems to always be good for info. and advice.
  4. Not yet learned sliming but, PB is productive burping....There is a thread on vocabulary and abbriviations....maybe a "search" will help find it. And I see you have only 2 posts....so welcome to LBT! I love being part of this, I'm sure you will too.
  5. Good luck greyhounder-I worried about my psy. eval. also(stuff from the past) but all is well and I'm set for 4-2-07 you'll be fine!
  6. If it is not yeast you can, dry well after shower (use blow drier-yes even there) and use monistat new chaffing powder/gel. It works for at least 24 hours and is non-greasy after appyling. I know I have seen an abbriviation post at least once... maybe a search will help you find it... I now know the DH usualy means darling or da** husband and PB means productive burping.....look for that thread for others-GOOD LUCK!!

I love it, this is tooooo funny.:heh: AND ABOUT TORI SPELLING... COVER THEM UP....NO!...get rid of those disgusting, ugly twins!! If that's what I would look like thin, I'll stay pre-op!!! I have always though Tori Spelling looked gross before/after. TOM I'm blushing too--only becuase wheetsin mentioned the "protien" before I really though about it. "boobs high" And how does she get "them" so high???? I would have to first get mine out of my arm pits, then work on gettin'em there.......Hold on-----this------ may------take-----a-----while-----to-----accomp.....OK OS..I give up!
  9. Well bandedme? Did you make it to the gym???????? Kat817 --- you are always so experienced, knowledgable, informative, and inspiring... I love to read your posts... They usually say it's the men--you need to watch out for!!!:nervous They have not been here OR met any of my girlfriends...ya know I mean girl/friends. I come on LBT to keep my self on track and out of frige......I'm still pre-op.....and you're making me hungry again!!!!!:hungry: By the way what Protein goes well with pineapple??????????:heh: And what happened to lobster and sock man?
  17. Hello supersizers!!! I have a date set for 4-2-07!!! I am nervous and excited. I start my pre-op diet 3-19-07. Only looking forward to that to get it over with. wheetsin....looking great:clap2: ....are you feeling great??? I WOULD LOVE TO SEE MORE BEFORE/AFTER PICS IN POSTS! synicalchick.....NOW I'M SCARED:omg: I've so far been blessed with good "T" cells(says gyn.), and have never experienced a Y. Inf. in all of my 34 years!! But now.........:omg: .What can be done to prevet such an occurance? I would like to avoid that at all cost. :omg: You must have wonderful DH...my DH would not be of any assistance, other than maybe a drive to pharmacy. I'm not sure what my BMI is exactly ...maybe 58-59??? I'm about 5'6" I can't tell what "build" I am under here....and weighed 367# about a month ago...at docs I weighed in at 357#....the "fitness twig" that assisted me with a workout perscription says I could/should lose about 202# . I know it may at times be difficult but I will try to be positive, GOOD LUCK AND HEALTH TO ALL!!

chicken, dirty old & youngish broads, lobsters, biscuts, boobs, penis crabs, sock man, bed and bread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M CONFUSED!!!!!!!!! I MUST BE SOME KIND OF PERVERT!!!!!!! I DON'T KNOW IF I'M SUPPOSED TO BE HUNGRY OR TURNED ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Banders from the 6th--chin up--It sounds like we all start out very positive and look forward to all the benifits we can gain by losing, but in pain all positivity can get lost. I'm sorry that you are feeling this way,:cry but am appreciating that you post so when I get banded I will have a realistic expectation. I do hope that what you are feeling is "normal", and no concern for Doc. Both of you hopefully will quickly gain comfort and strength and success. Think possitive when you are able---thinking of you---congratulations on surgery---good luck in recovery---
  20. I'll tell ya that if an insurance company will pay....that is great!!! Even if you have to jump through hoops. My DH was just supportive enough to sign home equity papers for my self-pay. I am denied private insurance because of my BMI with no health problems!!! He is not offered insurance through his job. And his W-2 form for taxes shows that my surgery total will be about $1200 more than his wages for last year!!!!! I can't even get insurance until I lose BIG!! I have chosen to stay home with DD Mazie until she is two. We are recovering from a job loss last year and it's difficult to "ellect" to spend that kind of dough. But, worth every penny I hope. To all other self-payers I hope it is not a financial burden but a begining of better health...luck and my thoughts to all!
  21. CJULZGO-I also have a date set for 4-2-07!!!!Congratulations to us. chica chula- has date set on my birthday and we are both self-pay. I saw what was said about "self-pay foundation" mentioned above.........and please allow me to be the first to sign up!!!!!!!! My DH was just supportive enough to sign home equity loan papers for my self-pay. Good luck to all and good to see you all on the bandwagon!!!
  22. April 9 is the greatest day for you to be banded----because it's my birthday!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK AND HEALTH TO ALL
  23. OK it was 10:39 p.m. and I would have gone a little crazy on a food bing, IF I wasn't on LBT. This occupied my time for over another hour, I ate nothing, and eventually fell asleep!!!!!! I have weened myself from Dr. Pepper completely (from 6-8 down to zero daily)!!! And I am trying to combat snacking!!! Combat is the right word here for me - it is a struggle daily to make sensible choices!!! So, if I "panic" again (or start to) please bare with me-----Thanks and good health to all
  24. you should take a peek at complications threads
  25. I am pre-op, but I asked doc if a patient is a candidate for either surgery what would he pick? Doc said " if a patient has the ability to be at least, somewhat active, and health allows some time to slower/safer lose weight Lap Band is THE way to go! If a patient has lost the ability to be active or due to health does not have the "time to lose" then he might pick GBypass." If it is necessary Lap Band can be fixed, adjusted, or removed at any time for life. GBypass can never be "fixed" adjusted or reversed even if "necessary". You also have restriction without adjustability and malabsorbtion to deal with for life. And that is, wether or not you re-gain. With Lap Band even 5-10-20 years along if you need to combat gains, you can get adjustment. I was leaning to GBypass for myself until my research steered me far from it!!!! You can not go from BPass to Band, but you could go from Band to BPass if required! To me, for myself, I'm still in control of my body and my options with Band-----with BPass I'm out of options! I do hope what ever "mom" decides to do, you are supportive of her and her decisions--we all need that to feel successful!!! Good luck and good research!!
