  1. Would an all liquid diet be too hard for you? It does help shed the pounds. You can do it!!!!
  2. Wow you look great!!! Sorry about the complications in the beginning. Welcome to the boards!!
  3. I started losing hair at month 3. Researched and got really proactive about getting in my protein... this is a must. Greek yogurt and protein shakes will help. Then I started taking biotin and I too use the garnier fall fight. I can say that after a scary month and a half... the hair has stopped falling out. Even if you cant eat meat to get your protein, there are other ways. I believe this is one of the major keys of working the pouch.
  4. So proud for you. Its such a waiting game but so worth it!!
  5. You are doing great!!
  6. I had a problem with taking mine to at first but when my hair started falling out and I was just plain tired all the time I decided that no matter what I was gonna get the vitamins in. Its so important!!!
  7. Katie, Wanted to add my congrats on your weight loss. We started about the same weight.. although I am quite a bit older ha!! Gives me hope and inspiration that I will hit my goal. What a great smile you have!!
  8. The only thing I have a script for is my B12 shot that I give myself once a month.
  9. Wow, what a transformation. Glad your here!!!
  10. wow that is exciting. I can hardly wait to hit that milestone. Congrats!!!!
  11. Welcome girl! Great place with great information
  12. paul, the food will be cheap too... HA!! congrats on getting off the meds.
  13. ummmm you'll know it. Immediatly!! Its horrible
  14. If I've learned anything from this whole wild ride is that patience is the name of the game!! Hang tough, stay off the scale... I know, easier said then done and keep following the rules. Good luck!!!
  15. I now weigh less then my husband now too... What a feeling!!!!
  16. Good luck to you... my fingers, toes and eyes are crossed for you and 3 months!!
  17. I ate every soup I could lay my hands on. I dont know how to make soups for one so I ended up looking at the premade ones for the highest protein content. Bean soup has a good consistancy, good taste and high protein. Hang in there this stage will not last long but you need to follow the guidelines so that you can heal.
  18. seriously was telliing my daughter this weekend that I am still wearing the same underwear from 114 lbs ago... looks like I have a pile of crap in my pants.lol!! I bought 2 pair of capris size 18 and 4 extra large shirts to wear to work and now they are too big... but I like most of you hate buyiing until I get where I need to be. I know I look bigger when I wear clothes that are too big for me. So its a catch 22. Definatly need to get some new underwear tho- :-)
  19. I had not heard this... sniff!!! I need some smaller stuff right now, I guess I'll hit them up and say goodbye!!
  20. I sometimes wonder if the goal I picked is realistic or not. I have been a "big" girl for over 20 years so dont know if I am setting myself up for failure or not. I have set a goal weight but it isnt set in stone. I am just gonna see where this wild ride takes me and go from there. Honestly just want to weigh what my drivers license says I weigh! ha!!
  21. I love seeing pics of people who have had surgery.... smiles everytime.... you look like you are having a ball!!!!
  22. I am six months post op and am lucky to get 800 calories a day. Still never hungry. But I focus on my protein first. On the up side I am fully satisfied as far as my hunger goes which is a blessing as I never knew that feeling before!!
  23. You can do this!!!! I would suggest seeing a nutritionist and having them put you on a nutritional program geared for you and the weight loss you desire so that you can have surgery. Good luck hun!!
