15Kgold got a reaction from Butterthebean in Not Telling People....
If I am asked I tell people. I have no regrets. Most dont know what a sleeve is. I teach nursing, a healthier me is important. I do not mind sharing. However I thank those who notice and I do not make announcements about it unless they ask.

15Kgold got a reaction from IrishEyes in Suggested Read For C-Pap/bi-Pap Users
My pulmonologist recommended I lose 75 # to be able to get off CPAP. Now he has bumped it up to 100 #. We have agreed that when I get to 75 # loss he will repeat the study. My machine is supposed to adjust to needed settings. They had to replace with a new one it just quit working and beeping. Glad I had the surgery

15Kgold got a reaction from CamarilloCA in Any Problems With Lobster?
I was so excited when my doc said I could have crablegs (3Weeks after surgery) They did not come up but I did not enjoy them at all was so disappointed. My ensure came up today, maybe I drank too close to taking Vitamins. Only got 3 swallows down. I've never had this to happen.

15Kgold got a reaction from Mzluvee in Medical Review Went Amazing, Except Irritated @ The Hubby!
I originally felt the band was best until reports of them becoming embedded in the liver after becoming too loose. The number of fills of saline and such turned me off. The idea of the bypass does not appeal to me. Some insurance comp. will not cover the sleeve. I believe the Vitamins and Protein is the same for bypass and sleeve so some absorption is better than none.
My doctor and I agreed on the sleeve. I had a scare after a motor vehicle accident, they found a mass on my pancreas in August and thought I had pancreatic cancer. The workup showed no cancer and the pancreatic specialist told me it was okay to have the sleeve. I was delayed several months because I had rotator cuff surgery in February. My left cuff had a full-thickness tear . So I had the sleeve surgery April 28th and I am extremely pleased.
