  1. OTR You're a moderator! I just noticed in your title You're amazing here on the boards! That's awesome!!
  2. I was given instructions, lift nothing over ten pounds for 6 weeks. Ask your Dr and tell him your activities. I hope all goes well and your pain subsides quickly!!
  3. Prepare, prepare, prepare...get all your ducks in a row and then just relax and prepare to be skinny!!!
  4. I thought the insurance takes your original weigh in before the 6 month diet? Insurance companies and their hoops just so they don't have to pay. Burns me up!
  5. Happy Birthday and Happy New Year, Chad!!! A new years eve baby I can only imagine your birthday celebrations!! Hehe fun fun!!
  6. 4alongerlife, its so good to see you post. I have wondered how you were doing. I'm so sorry you just had another surgery. I pray it is your last as well.
  7. If it were diabetes, bp, migraine, etc. She would get meds. Dare mention you are hurting and you get nothing? No one should suffer unbearable pain. We have medicines for that.
  8. That definitely is practice indeed! You're so fun and yet you are hurting. I'm so glad you have someone loving to care for you! How is your mom? My heart goes out to you!
  9. Cheri, thanks for that information. I sure hope the next year is kind to me as I can definitely not afford plastics. Would be nice to tighten it up some. Thanks again
  10. Versed is like a valium but more like 10 margaritas and no hangover lol You relax and the ride is over with no memory
  11. Atul, how is your mother? Is she hospitalized? What is being done for her? If you could give us an update. I am sorry this is happening to her and wish her healthy healing.
  12. I agree, I'm thinking excess body weight would be the amount of weight that takes us out of a healthy bmi. So there would/could be anywhere from 1-20 lb difference in desired weight as the bmi numbers give a low/high weight.
  13. Glad they finally helped you. Drs can be real bullies when it comes to easing our pain with prescription pain meds. I sure hope you start to feel better. The ease in pain from the prescription should help relax your muscles.
  14. My family and I had a good laugh the other day. I was wearing a fitted short sleeved shirt and I raised my arm to show my bruise from my picc line and voila a muscle popped up lol I saw it and they saw it and we were all saying where the heck did that come from...I said " who knew I was hiding guns under all that weight" it was a nice feeling and funny But I too have the extra skin and though its frustrating, I would rather have it then the pounds.
  15. I remember having cravings at night. It was hard. Before my surgery I always grazed at night after the house went quiet. Try and make sure you get your required intake throughout the day and if you have... just try try try to resist. If you just need something and cannot resist maybe drink a lil of a thickened protein drink. It gets easier so hang in there!!!
  16. Many people have different programs to follow. My advice is follow your Drs. program. Your Dr. knows what he has done inside your body, he/she knows the reasons and consequences for not abiding to a set guideline per his surgery on you. You really are playing Russian roulette with your health if you throw caution to the wind. You can gamble it if you like but a few will not be so lucky to come out unscathed. I say this because I care for anyone's health. I really want everyone to be a success and not have a horrible complication.
  17. Yay!!!! So happy for you!!! <3
  18. You guys are looking amazing!!! Sannah, Good to hear from you. I'm so sorry the road is so rough right now. Stay as positive as you can, remember this is temporary. You are going to recover and be an amazing success story for others!! I'm keeping you in my prayers and healing thoughts your way!! Hugs- Lisa
  19. One thing you can try is switching the SF fruit bars to SF popsicles. Sometimes the natural fruit sugars can mess with our weightloss. That's just a guess to try and help but you really seem to be doing everything right so I forsee you'll start losing again soon. We go thru so many stalls it gets frustrating. I can totally understand! Also remember to take body measurements. I lost inches when the scale never lost a pound. Best of luck!!
  20. The scariest thing about this is we haven't heard back from the OP I'm worried about her. Mainly because she is so early out and popcorn can wreak havoc even months out. I sure hope she is okay. I also hope she continues to come to VST.
  21. Certain medicines can cause nightmares for people. If you are taking any, that could be the cause...
