Discrepency in cost of surgery
I would think the sleeve would be more than the plication. Having them the same price on other peoples paperwork seems to affirm it must have been human error not a scam. Best wishes on your surgery!!!

Hard time adjusting to sleeve and break up
Did he leave or is he being a jerk? I'm so sorry this is an emotional time just adjusting to your new diet requirements and healing. You have us here on VST and we will support you. Perhaps just give him time to work out his feelings, whatever has got him so unsupportive, maybe lay low and just come here for help. Maybe he is afraid you'll leave him? Is there anyway to rekindle something between you both perhaps just small acts of kindness could get him back on track. I'm so sorry this is happening but maybe it will pass? I am wishing you all the best!!!

Questions after near death experiance in operating room?
I'm wondering as well. I sure hope you find out. I did watch a video of a live VSG surgery and I remember when I was watching...thinking to myself when they push in the instruments they come sooooo close to our organs and intestines. I wish I could find the post here on VST so you could watch it as well. It's very interesting. Have you had a chance to watch a surgery performed?

popcorn?
Popcorn is dangerous that early!! It has hulls that do not digest well and can irritate and sometimes cause infection in the suture line. Please refer to your Drs. guidelines You can have it later on. Better to be healed!!

Questions after near death experiance in operating room?
I had a hernia repair across from my belly button and also a hysterectomy with endometriosis scraped from my bladder, intestines, etc and fibroid tumors removed and bladder repair all prior to my WLS. I listed them as prior surgeries and that was it. I'm sure I had lots of scar tissue. My stomach looked like I had been in a knife fight and lost badly. I am so thankful I came through it and I am so sorry for people who suffer complications. I do want to add I have 6 small incisions verses the 5 most have, perhaps my Dr. looked around prior to the actual removal? I'm unsure but my surgery was very standard, didn't take very long to get in and out of the OR

Leak Survivors - A Little Help!
Atul, I am unsure of the drain color...as far as I was told it should be clear or go to the ER If you can message these people they may have more help for you as they suffered from leaks: 4aLongerLife jasleeve RawrrAshleex3 I'm hoping you find out as much information as possible. You and your mother need support and we are here for you. Sometimes you just have to keep posting til you get the person you need... As far as I have seen, most patients with leaks stop taking liquid and food by mouth and have TPN. I pray someone sees our post and will contact you!! Please continue to reach out here..I will try my best to help you find answers! -Lisa

Pain...
Glenda, did you have your surgery at Forest Park? I would call the number on the paperwork and speak to someone. Perhaps Dr. Nicholson (sp?) hasn't been informed of your pain. I'm willing to bet he would want to see you. I am hoping he would! He is a very well known Dr. Have only heard good things about him. Try to reach him! You shouldn't be hurting like this

Have Any Of You Eaten Solid Food Before You Were Supposed To?
If only people knew the suffering of others and the pain and heartache they have endured. If you don't like reading it here on the boards from survivors then ask your surgeon. Your Dr. knows what can happen, ask him if what he tells you should be followed... I assure you he knows of patients who are no longer alive to speak up and try and help. I believe no matter how it is worded...it is to help save anyone from complications or even deadly consequence.
