  1. My stats, I'm 41...5'2 height surgery date May 15th 2012 Starting weight 220 Current weight 130 My biggest tip would be to drink lots of Water and always eat Protein first then healthy vegetables, if there is room. Try to find a healthy balance that you can do and really try and focus on a lifestyle change that is healthy. We consume so little that its important to our health to make every bite count. I love hearing about everyone's success. Thank you all for your kind words!! It means a lot!
  2. Awww Susie!!! You look so good!!!! Beautiful <3
  3. I hope you start healing soon. I'm so sorry your suffering complications
  4. No, I haven't had any plastics. I'm not sure I'll be able to afford it. But I'm thinking I will wait a year before deciding what I will do. I was self pay so still recovering financially from that lol

  7. Hi thank you! I had my surgery May 15th 2012 so January 15th will be 8 months. I just love reading when people hit their goal weight and I look forward to reading yours as well!!! Im thankful I found you all on this site to share our journeys together!
  8. I've been waiting to scream that in my best imitation of a soccer goal voice!! I saw it when I first came to the boards and knew then I could not wait to scream that word.. I made GOAL!! I hit 130, now that is my Drs. goal for me as he doesn't think I should lose more than that...nor my husband but secretly my goal is 120 Hopefully ill see that one day!
  9. Hmmmm...that is a tough wait... So is it Washington your trying to research? Does it matter if your living in Oregon or Washington? I would think it goes by where you live and then if the hospital accepts Medicare. If I hear anything I'll post back here. Best of luck!!! It's so confusing that it goes by States
  10. La Madeliene (sp?) Has great soup and light meals as well Yummy yogurt parfait too!! Best wishes!
  11. Nice job!!! You're doing awesome...Congrats!
  12. We went to see a concert and the seats were ridiculously tiny and the path in front of the isle was impossible small. I was actually consumed the entire time about it. People pay all this money and its horrible. Now that being said I fit in my seat no problem, I was able to escape mid performance, for a bathroom break, graciously. But if I had not lost my weight I would have been SOL Still made me made the entire time because I saw people struggle and I sympathize
  13. The extra skin reminds me every day how big I was....aaahhhh... Oh well, it is what it is
  14. Co-signing for someone is taking on the debt yourself if that person stops making payments. The co-signer has to be in a place financially that they can and would do that...otherwise they go down with the ship if the loan is not paid. It's a huge commitment.
  15. Let me know what they say and how your feeling... Hugs!
  16. I drink Premier ready to drink protein drinks from sams/Costco I also drink whey isolate protein powder vanilla creme by Body Fortress Just make sure your protein is whey isolate and your good to go
  17. How far out are you? Can you ring your surgeons office and ask them if you should worry? I call my surgeons office for lots of things and earlier out I called soooo much. They were always so nice and helpful. My drs. nurse is the sweetest and so willing to help! Don't be afraid to ring them up!
  18. You can not have naproxen. Unfortunately non steroids anti inflammatory drugs. NSAID's can cause bleeding and ulcers in our sleeves. You can have acetaminophen and other drugs. I'm pretty familiar with chemical names if you want to list them. You can have opiate/codiene based narcotics as long as they are not compounds with NSAID's
  19. Iggy, you may not remember but I did tell you on here that something didn't seem right. Now I also know at that time you were saying you already knew what the cause was...internal bleeding...I just want to clarify that I do and have listened to people and tell them to seek further help if they are not getting better. I followed your story closely and asked many questions and was very very concerned. I remember others concern as well.
  20. Frank! So happy for you! Happy Happy New Year!!!!
  21. What medicine do you take for it? There are many approved but it would be easier to just know what works for you and I'll check my list.
  22. Kapoor, my best friend had her bowel cut during an endometrial ablation of her uterus. She spent 5 days septic and severely ill. Also, on the way out of surgery she awoke to choking on vomit in her mouth, she was sedated so could only bring her arm up to grab her Dr's jacket...he proceeded to just move her arm away and she passed out from it and had to have her lungs suctioned. I tell you this story because when she recieved her bills from everything...they were paid by said Dr. He did this without a word from her. I wish all Drs. would do this. I hope you find this type of resolution.
