Oh I'm going to save for one! Thank you, BB It is expensive but our health is worth every penny. I self paid for this surgery so I will spend more to keep myself healthy. It's a must! Hey Sannah!! My oldest daughter gets home from work around three and I will have her show me how to upload a before and after just for you! Oh what a wonderful road ahead with your precious daughter! You will get through this and heal and you will be so happy with yourself. Your daughter will know her mommy as healthy and active and you will run wild with games and activities from all the gained energy you will have!!! I can't even dance ( no rythym at all) but my daughters laugh and laugh to see me trying to bust a dance move with them. They tell me I am completely different than before. Of course you may already be so fun because you sound like a wonderful girl with so much spirit and kindness in her! Can you imagine it? You are going to be fabulous!!!!! <3

As far as I know indefinitely...my urologist is giving my kidneys a month to "rest" and then I go in for more studies. I agree, I need to consult with my bariatric surgeon and get his suggestions. I'm going to research the vegetarian approach. I asked my kidney doctor about soy protein and he frowned on that as well. It's troublesome that's for sure.

Well with all this being said, I'm in quite a predicament right now. I spent 5 days in the hospital for kidney problems. Came home with two stents to help them empty and now my urologist says no protein and no calcium...I'm like ummmmm what the heck do I do now. I've been eatting vegetables mostly for a week now. I'm seriously unsure which route to take now. Sad sad

Hehehe! Cheetahs eat pretty well and still look sleek and muscular...must be all that protein <3

Sannah, You're such a sweetheart here on the boards. My heart breaks that you suffered this complication. But, I know you are so positive and strong you can get through this...please let us know how you are so we can support you as needed. Many prayers for you!! *hugs* <3

Two weeks out your still so swollen and your sleeve is most likely numb... It won't last but be very careful with your intake during this time, until you can start to feel fullness again. You're doing great by measuring!!! Take some milk of magnesia for your constipation. It helps so much.

I think we need whey isolate because our stomachs can not process collagen/ full protein powders. We do not have the digestive abilities of a full stomach. A lot of people choose different proteins because they cannot tolerate the whey isolate. Good luck to everyone and stay healthy <3

Take whatever fluid you can drink and keep down. I am suffering horrible kidney problems due to my lack of proper amounts of fluid intake I should have done better for my health. Trust me .... Drink drink drink!!!!

I drank juice, sometimes diluted but mostly straight ... I didn't have any problems with real fruit juices...you have to drink what you can Best of luck!!!

I know, you are so strong for going this long, you are saving yourself, just remember you are closer to the day you can resume liquids by not taking any now and damaging your organs. Have you asked for any anxiety medicine? I think it will help, stress makes our mouths parched. Take some anti anxiety and swish and spit and try and relax. It is so hard but your doing it!!! Stay strong Liz...you're doing good for your health! <3

I was npo for 7 days...I currently am home with a stent for my kidney. I was finally allowed to swish water in my mouth and spit but I was watched like a prisoner. Just do not swallow. Just swish swish and spit. Ask first of course. I'm so sorry I know this is awful

Mine was all inter abdominal around my organs. Very unhealthy. I've now been in the hospiatal since Sunday ...two kidney surgeries Tuesday and yesterday....picc line started weds. No food by mouth...I'm actually feeling hunger now even since my sleeve had helped I'm miserable. Stay healthy my friends and stay hydrated
