PamSirhindi reacted to Globetrotter in Good Protein Powder To Add In Coffee?
If you want coffee/mocha/cappucino/java, then look no further than Click Protein espresso powder! It is flippin' amazing and super versatile AND is the equivalent of 2 shots of espresso for every serving! It has 12g protein per serving which isn't much but then I never use it as my sole Protein Powder in a shake. Not really being a coffee person I use it more as an ingredient rather than the star; I use a serving of chocolate protein powder, a half serving of Click, a tiny splash of a Torani Syrup, topped with SF whipped cream, with some cinnamon or bitter cocoa powder tapped across the top. Arranged prettily in a Starbucks reusable to-go cup, it's just as good if not better than the real thing!

Theres a lot of info on it, even videos people have made, heres some info I found, I'll just copy and paste.
It is WELL known that the Skin is the LARGEST Organ in the Body, and is responsible for one-fourth of the Body's Detoxification each day, also making it, one of the most IMPORTANT Elimination Organs! The Skin is also known as the "3rd" Kidneys and the Lungs are known as the "2nd" Kidneys. TOXICITY can gather beneath the Skin's Surface from such COMMON Influences such as IMPROPER pH levels in Body, Soaps, Skin Creams and Anti-Perspirants, plus Synthetic Fibers worn NEXT to the Skin with ANY of them contributing to a variety of Skin Problems and Conditions. When you do Skin Brushing, you HELP your Lymph System to CLEAN itself of the TOXINS, that COLLECT in the Lymph Glands. You use a Simple Technique to IMPROVE the Surface Circulation on the Skin and KEEP the Pores of the Skin OPEN, encouraging your Body's Discharge of Metabolic Wastes, and resulting in an IMPROVED ability to COMBAT Bacteria, plus HELPING your Skin to look and feel HEALTHIER and MORE RESILIENT! Skin Brushing is a PERFECT Treatment for SELF-HELP Enthusiasts.
    Benefits:
    TIGHTENS Skin.
    HELPS Digestion.
    REMOVES cellulite.< /span>
    STIMULATES Circulation.
    INCREASES Cell Renewal.
    CLEANS Lymphatic System.
    REMOVES Dead Skin Layers.
    STRENGTHENS Immune System.
    IMPROVES Exchange between Cells.
STIMULATES the Glands, thus helping ALL of the
Body Systems to perform at PEAK EFFICIENCY!

    How To Do:
Buy a NATURAL, NOT Synthetic, Bristle Brush, since it does NOT SCRATCH the Surface of the Skin.
Buy a Brush with a LONG Handle, so that you're ABLE to get to the Areas of your Body, that are NOT EASY to reach, when doing your own Skin Brushing.
Skin Brush, before Showering or Bathing, at least ONCE per day, and TWICE, if possible.
Do NOT wet Skin, since it will NOT have the SAME Effect, because this stretches the Skin.
ALWAYS Skin Brush towards the Heart.
Do Circular Counter-Clockwise Strokes on the Abdomen.
Do LIGHTER Strokes over and around Breasts, but do NOT Brush the Nipples.
Brush each part of the Body several times VIGOROUSLY, COMPLETELY Brushing the WHOLE Body.
Brush the Soles of the Feet FIRST, because the Nerve Endings there affect the WHOLE Body, next Brush the Ankles, Calves, and Thighs, then Brush across your Stomach and Buttocks and lastly Brush your Hands to the Arms.
Take a WARM Bath or Shower, which should always be followed by a COOL Rinse at the end to INVIGORATE Blood Circulation and STIMULATE Surface Warmth.
Wash your Brush every few Weeks in Water and let it DRY.

I am 4 days post-op. I had to do 2 weeks of Optifast before surgery. A couple times I felt very dizzy and lightheaded and I had a little low fat cheese. It really helped get through. By 6 days into it, I didn't crave food and I found it fairly easy to just "stick to it". Just focus on the end goal.... You don't want that food temptation to mess up how far you've already come! I just kept telling myself that I am lucky to be at 2weeks liquid diet.... At least I am having my dream fulfilled when so many others don't reach this point.

Thank You Everyone!!!! It's day #6 post op and I still don't have any buyers remorse. The only thing I kept my receipt for is the dreaded old stinky booty gas. I still have a tinge of it but its tolerable. I have done everything from the world wide web, doctors and nurses, this page and my mother's old school Mississippi remedies to aide me. Never thought a classy southern belle like myself would wish for free flowing and easy passing gas. With all that said, I do realize how blessed I am to only have that problem. If it wasn't for old man gas, I would swear on a stack of 15 pieces of bacon and testify to a whole congregation of strawberry cheese cakes that I didn't have surgery. Sure...I'm not really eating yet and just sipping in small amounts but I had no pain from the surgery or incisions. While in the hospital I received a few miscellaneous meds and pain meds for pooping and gas related pains. I came home with liquid pain meds but never even popped the seal. Everything is healing up nicely. I promised not to weigh myself til post op appointment but my pj bottoms feels really lose now. I bought them for the hospital stay not knowing that just because they have a cute little string that they could be pulled tighter. Who makes (designs) clothes for plus size people????
For all of my sleeve vets....I wish you all continued success and to the future sleevers...best decision of my life. I wish you all the best. Stay Encouraged!!!!

I read a post from another member here earlier today and she said something about the amount she has lost, except she did not use the word LOST. She said released. I like that better, LOST means that some unlucky soul might FIND all these pounds and that would be just horrible. I really like the idea of releasing these pound and NEVER finding them again.
So after tomorrow I will be posting how many pounds I am RELEASING, and I pray I can release them at a steady rate.
So ladies and gentlemen, what do you think?

    No regrets for me!
During the preliminary stage, I was frustrated with all the psych eval, classes, support groups, text book reading with quizzes, and numerous lab work and medical tests. In hindsight, I am grateful for the rigorous preliminary requirements as it was part of the journey for making an informed and considered decision. It was an important process for me to get myself in the right "head space". I even had to take a written tests to ensure I understood all the possible complications and that I acknowledged this as a tool that I had to work with -- not a miracle "cure".
Post-surgery, I have had relatively few complications, but here are just a few things I wish I had known:
I wish I would have known I was going to be nauseous the whole drive home and part of the following day so I could have had the anti-nausea meds on hand rather than having to ask my hubby to make a call to the surgeon and then make a pharmacy run.
I wish I would have realized my body would be constipated for the first time in my life. At four months out, I find I must take stool softners to keep this from being a problem.
I wish I would have known that all the "taste testing" I did with the Isopure pre-surgery was for naught. My taste buds changed drastically, and what I liked pre-op was horrible post-op.

Other than those very minor issues, I am thankful each and every day for making this decision. I am also incredibly grateful for this forum as it has given me the inspiration, motivation and support I have needed throughout the process.
