  2. My doctor told me to start at 2 weeks and to have Flinstone Chewables.
  3. I had my sleeve done on Aug 6 and my sheet says no protein shakes til day 14. I am living on chicken broth and grape juice. I am looking foreward to being able to have cream of wheat tomorrow...LOL.
  4. Thank you for the video. Never thought about it like that. That will definitely make me think before I drink anything.
  5. This is AWESOME!! My family and I are all addicted to ranch dressing and were getting a bit depressed at the thought of having to give it up. Thank you for saving us!!! LOL
  6. I like the Premier Protein shakes that you can buy at Costco or Sam's Club. I think they are yummy. They have 30g of protein per shake and only 160 calories. Its worth a try to give yourself a chance to find something you might be able to like.
  7. I'm in for my sleeve on Aug 6!! Can't wait! I got some unjury protein samples to try and have found the Premier Protein shakes at Sam's Club to be good. Thats the only things Ive gotten as far as prep items. Guess I need to do some shopping soon.
  8. I kept a piece of paper in my purse and every time I came up with a question, no matter where I was I wrote it down. I never can remember the questions I should ask in my head. It helps to write it down anytime I think of it.

  10. Today was my first visit with the doctor and that went fine, of course. But the great news came when I talked to the insurance lady! Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas has changed their requirements and I don't have to do a medically supervised diet!!! Yay!!! I have to see the nutritionist and I have to get my psyche eval and thats it! I have both those appointments scheduled for the 11th of June. OMG. I am so excited!! I could actually set my surgery the end of June or the first part of July. I am so ready to start a new chapter in this book, I don't know what to do!!
  11. I don't see where it would hurt anything to start your diet early. But please, please, please do everything you can to quit smoking. I have a friend that didn't quit and she didn't heal properly from the surgery. The doctor had to put her on a feeding tube for 3 months. That scared me enough to quit myself.
  12. Happy Birthday!! And congratulations on the insurance approval! I'm still waiting for mine.
  13. Thank you so much! That gives me hope! I like the idea of making the same portion size meals for both of us.

  15. Hi! I just went to the seminar on Thursday. I had already made the decision to get the sleeve due to all the people I know that have gotten it and been successful. I know exactly what you mean about feeling like a stalker on this forum. I have been reading it for a couple of weeks and just joined yesterday. I haven't gotten any dates yet. Still waiting on Insurance qualifications. Good luck to you!
  16. Hi all! I am entirely new to this process. I just went to the seminar to start the process to get my sleeve on Thursday. I am the single parent of a 2 year old. How hard is this going to be to go thru and take care of her too? I want to get healthy to be able to watch her grow up. I didn't have her til I was 41. I'd like to stick around as long as I can.
