Marty McSkinnystein got a reaction from ShouldBlittler in Need A Term For Finally Having Less Than 100 To Lose
    And so, underhunder was born.
It should be used like this though... "I have reached underhunder" vs. I am in underhunder (for which onederland is reserved).
It sounds like a disease... "My underhunder is acting up today!" "Call the Dr. --Oy my underhunder!!"
    So we contact Webster's?

I can relate to everything you said- including being a teacher (you're in that group here right?) and the bonky knee (haha funny term). I also can eat and love variety too.
This week I also tried on all these clothes and was so happy going down from the 22/24's 2-3x's to tight 18/1x's. That was really fun. It's so nice to shrink. Kind of makes the whole loss of most of the stomach worth it!

We have "onederland" for entering the 100's but I now have 96 to lose so I feel like it's also an accomplishment worthy of a term.
    Clever ideas?

What about a Pasta salad? Throw together corkscrew pasta (rotini?) with cut up tomatoes, cucumbers and throw in a bottle of the McCormick spice salad supreme and a bottle of wishbone Italian.
Or go to the supermarket and buy an already made whatever.

Marty McSkinnystein got a reaction from NtvTxn in Truthful Regrets, Anyone?
I was excited and happy thinking cool, no buyer's remorse, and then a week ago (5 weeks after surgery) I had an evening of crying and regret. I worried about not being able to eat to excess and choose lots of food at one meal.
But the next day after shopping I made myself a platter of a tiny bit of so many delicious things I had bought from Trader Joe's--a mini meatball, some fancy dip, an amazing slice of Italian cheese and a couple other things I forget. I savored each taste slowly and enjoyed the food and then was full.
Since then I've been okay knowing I can have anything.
I was especially okay after my MIL gave me tons of clothes since she lost weight and they will carry me through the winter I'm sure.
I also tried on all these clothes I had that I had forgotten about and was amazed they fit.
The thing is, I could lose the weight but without this ability to control my portions and hunger I don't think I could keep it off. Just that I was able to run up and down the steps yesterday like I haven't done in years was amazing. My feet and ankles were fine and I wasn't out of breath.
Now when I think of things I wish I could eat- it's not like the stuff I used to shovel in without thought. I will eat "fattening" foods again- but a taste and be satisfied.
I've repeated this so many times because it helped me...
Someone here said that having this surgery is like being at Thanksgiving after you're done and looking at table and feeling like this food was incredible but I can't eat another bite.
I hope you eventually get to this...it's really freeing.

A friend told me she complimented someone on her weight loss and she found out later the woman had cancer. She said that's the last time she'll do that before knowing for sure the story. That's doesn't explain EVERYONE in your life.
Unless some jealous person passed on that you don't want to call attention.... (now that would be terrible). Haha, I think I'm watching too much competition "reality t.v." with that line of thinking.
Anyway, keep on shrinking...and hold your head up high!

I actually do have a couple lipomas (fatty benign growths) under the skin.
I have one on the side of my arm that you can't really see but now that the fat is coming off that's becoming visible.
I had a benign thyroid nodule that I found years ago after losing weight because it was more visible on my neck.
I think the only benefit to being fat is less damage if you fall down the steps- with all the padding. Had it happen- no problem.
Ooh, actually that's a funny story. I was going up the steps and said "Stupid, (actually didn't say that) why don't you put your coffee cup right here in the middle of the steps so on your way down you won't forget it?"
What do you know, I'm coming down the steps, forget about the cup and get my toes stuck in the cup and go sailing down. coffee is all over the walls, steps, me, and I'm pulling my foot out of a cup. It really was funny,
..especially since I didn't break any bones because of my fat.
