I cant see my incision cause its in my navel and thats the only incision that i have and i am doing well moving a lil faster drinking liquids just waiting on the rest of the swelling to go down this is the best decision i could of made!

Do I got my approval letter from surgeon last week and today bcbs (insurance) called. I'm APPROVED:))))) here come the roller coaster of emotions!!!! Aug 15th can't come quick enough!!! I'm ready to roll. Down 17 lbs since the very first weigh in 3/27/12 and I'm ready for more!

Me....me....I am getting banded in AUG too my date is 15AUG

Today is day one of my pre op diet! I'm excited, especially after seeing my PCP yesterday for my pre op appointment. After losing 22lbs, she already had to lower my blood pressure medicine! Whoo hoo!

I had my surgery on yesterday Morning and I am doing great a little swollen and very little gas I will be Going home soon good luck to everyone else

everything will be fine you just go to sleep and wake up banded don't worry you will do awesome good luck and keep us posted on how you are progressing

Thank you everyone .... Everything went well; I am just sore from the gas. That gas is no joke-worse than eating taco bell. Lol

My friends, family and co-workers knew I was considering it. Once I went for my evaluation and got a surgery date, I told everybody who would listen!! The support I got was tremendous. I had very few people who were negative about it. But then, anybody who knows me knows they might as well save their breath if they disagree with me! I'm not going to listen to them anyway!

Hi all, i finally just got approved for lapband surgery after 6 months of a required supervised weight loss program. Excited but also very nervous as this will be my first surgery as well as hospital stay. Looking forward to learning more about your experiences in the coming weeks

Tricia! Ill be having surgery tomorrow as well! I will pray for us to have a speedy recovery and for God to guide the surgeons hands. Good luck and best wishes! Xoxo

It doesn't work if you don't do the work some people want a quick fix or a magic wand to wave and they are thin but its work no work no results go out to eatwith your unsuccessful friends don't let on just have nice relaxed dinner and take notice to what they eat & how much & you will have your answer as to why they are unsuccessful

The day is finally here...tomorrow is SURGERY DAY!! I have to be at the hospital by 9:30am. I'm a little nervous, but mostly sooo excited to be starting this new journey in my life. I know it's going to be tough, but I have this great community and supporting family and friends to help me. Please keep me and the other people getting banded tomorrow in your prayers!! Wish us luck!! :)

thanks for the encouragement. yes i understand it will be different. thats why i like it better then what she had done. when she got it done she was over 420. i am 250 and know it took me five years to put on 100 lbs so if it takes me a while to take off its ok. its healthier to take it off slow and if uou do it correctly then your less likely to put back on. its not about useing the band to loose wieght its about using the band to train myself to eat better so I can loose wieght.

I'm 2 and a half weeks into life with the lap-band. I had the procedure done in Dubai at a great private hospital Emirates Hospital, with Dr. Roger Batrouni and his partner. They were are great team and the nursing care was excellent. I'm doing well, I'm 15 pounds lighter and feeling really good:).

Omg!!! I am preop but have been dieting my ass off Im finally in the 2's!!!! 299.0 to be exact and I couldnt be prouder of myself!!! I started this journey at 336 and to know I will be having my surgery starting in the twos is THRILLING!!! I never thought I could do this......LOVING LIFE!!! Surgery JULY 18!
