msYoYo got a reaction from tiffers in Losing And Loving It
I'm 5 weeks out and went to have my blood work done today. I'm down 21 pounds and I feel good. I'm excited. I haven't been walking and exercising, but I'm going to start. I'm so excited and motivated. My starting BMI was 38 and I'm having great results. I love my sleeve.

msYoYo got a reaction from MyGastricSleeveLife in One Week Post Op
One week to the hour, post op and I'm feeling great. I've been feeling good since day 3. As soon as you can after surgery, walk, walk, walk to get rid of painful gas. It seems surreal, but I'm so happy for myself. I'm so happy with my decision. My underwear are already getting too big. I'm so excited about my future!!

msYoYo got a reaction from MinaT in Post Op Weigh-In
I got on the scale after going to the doctor one week post op, and I've lost a whopping 11 lbs in one week. I'm super happy and encouraged that I've made the right choice. Watch out world here I come.

msYoYo reacted to barrbdoll in Non Supportive Primary Care Doctor
I swear... Doctors kill me... My PCP was so supportive and agreed to do all of my follow-up (I self paid in Mexico) and I just ADORE her!! I would hightail it out of that office and start my search for a new Doctor!! You live in bigger city so maybe post on the boards for a referral for a new PCP in your area. Ask around and see which PCP other people in your area use.. WLS saves lives!! Shame on your Dr. for not believing that! I wouldn't giver her another dime of my money!

msYoYo reacted to NJsharon in Non Supportive Primary Care Doctor
I changed my Dr as she was not supportive of my surgery. I was having surgery in Mexico & just needed her to do bloodwork after, check my incisions to make sure they were healing, that is about it. She was totally unsupportive & very negative about the whole thing.
So I changed PCPs & now so much happier with my new Dr who is supportive!

Oh Mary... I'm so sorry! There are so many options to control the vomiting! Phenergan gel that you apply to the wrist is amazing. I couldn't handle ice chips or Water when I first started - especially if the water was cold. You're in my prayers... please keep us updated. I speak healing over you in Jesus' name!! Read Jeremiah 29:11 - it's just for you!

msYoYo got a reaction from letsdothis!!! in Did You Or Are You Keeping Your Sleeve A Secret?
I hear you letsdothis. That's exactly what I plan to do, show up to a family function like BAM POW how you like me now. I'm so excited about improving my health and boosting my self-esteem. I have not always been overweight, I've gained weight after having my beautiful children. But, now it's time for momma to get her body back. And I'm READY!

Sleeve-a-licious, I finally told my mom. Simply because I didn't want her to be pissed with my husband if she happened to find out. She took it rather well and is even helping get my Proteins together. She's not really happy with my decision, but she understands and is doing everything that she can to help me. I'm glad that I told her.

msYoYo got a reaction from MinaT in Surgery Failed Today!
My surgery is June 7, this post has made me nervous. There are alot of things on here that have made me nervous. My BMI is 38 but, I've been reading about people not losing weight. Getting a little scared.

msYoYo got a reaction from MinaT in Surgery Failed Today!
Amen MGM! It was a wake up call for me. My pre op diet starts on Thursday, but I may start tomorrow. I'd like to know if the size of the liver has to do with the BMI, because some dr. don't even require pre op diets. Just curious.

msYoYo reacted to Lissa in In Hella...
I like Katie's post and agree with her, but I'd add one more thing. You need a therapist pronto! You are so depressed that it's making me cry and you need some back up and support desperately!! Go see someone who specializes in bariatric counseling if possible, but any therapist right now would help you. I'm concerned because, from the tone of your post, it sounds like your dad "forced" you to have this surgery. I am stunned and frightened for you because of that.
Please, call someone for some help today. I want to see you be successful with your sleeve, but I want you to be in decent mental health when you get there.

No if ands or buts about it, I would find a new doctor. That military, soap box approach to weightloss pisses me off. Of course you know the seriousness of losing weight...that's why you're there. Screw him, there are plenty other qualified doctors in the country that cares about their patients and would be happy to have a self pay. Best of Luck sweetie, don't let one jerk get you down.
