  7. I got banded on Fri July 20. So I am new with all of this. I have been following my diet list from my dietician. I ate dinner at 5:30 pm last night and I had a cup of soup and a 1/4 cup of SF jello. I felt satisfied but then at 7:00 my stomach was rumbling so I had a snack of a SF popcycle. Then around 8:00 I went outside to walk to the stop sign and back, and all the while I felt really hungry again. When I got home I had a large glass of water. which seemed to satisfy only for a short while. I went to bed at 9:30 pm and all the time laying in bed I felt so hungry and had the awfullest pain in my gut and chest. So my question is, should I eat everytime my stomach grumbles? When I do eat, I don't eat large amounts.
  8. I am a July Bandster. I got banded July 20. Im feeling better today. At first I thought I was gonna die. lol At least now I can lay down and get a good night sleep.
  9. I too just got banded on Fri July 20. I feel awful but I know it is only short term. I thought I would never get thru the first day. My problem is getting good sleep at night. I can't lay down for very long and my recliner isnt the most comfortable place either. So just hoping I feel better soon.
  10. I just got banded this morning. To be honest I was to follow a pre op diet of 2 Protein shakes and a protein non starchy veggy for dinner. Well I was struggling with it and asked a friend of mine (who we have the same surgeon) how she went thru it, and she asked me what diet) So I decieded to eat sinciablely but sometimes I had food I shouldn't have. I did following the strick liquid regimine the day before surgery and no food/water after midnight. The surgeon had no problem with placing the band today. Rite now I am very sore and tired. Honestly I am craving a cheeseburger and fries from McDonald's. LOL But my liquids are going down with no prolem.
  11. Congrats. I too will be banded at 7:30 am Friday July 20. We WILL do great!!! Did you have alot of family or friends at the hospital with you? I am feeling pretty special rite now thinking about my family coming with me.

  13. Hello, I too am looking for buddies to talk to, get and give encouragement to. I live in Illinois. My surgery is set for 7-20-12 and I will be off from work 4 - 6 wks depending how fast I bounce back. I have to be 100 % before I come back do to lifting and running around and such. I work in a Hosp Cafe and I am glad I will be home for sometime away from all that food. This way I will be in a routine before going back. Happy 4th of July!!

  16. Hi there, I too am excited to start my new life style. I am schedualed for surgery Fri July 20. I will begin my protein regimine on Thursday July 5. I will be off from work 4 to 6 wks. I have to be 100 % before coming back to work. I am on my feet all day and lift alot, so they won't let me come back if I can't do the work. So I will enjoy the time off.
